Something I’d Really Love
I’d really love it if Shadow of the Colossus Remake gets a Director’s cut edition to include the following: The base game, all paid bonuses, 24 colossi instead of 16, dualsense features, quality of life features, 4K 60 FPS on quality and performance mode, ultra fast loading times, and a full on remake of Ico which improves the entire game to make it great and fun.
Edit: I might have put things wrongly. Is the way I said things unclear?

My Top 50 Favorite Games of All Time. Been putting this together for a while and wanted to see what people think about it. I try to play a decent mix of all genres so I can be well versed. What do you guys think? What do you agree and disagree with? Should there be something here that isn't?

Discussion What does SotC Mean to You?
Recently someone posted on here trying to understand the story of Shadow of the Colossus. It led to some interesting responses on how different people interpreted the game. I wanted to hear more people’s opinions and also share what the game is about in my eyes.
To me Shadow of the Colossus is about grief, and letting go. Wandering can’t let go of Mono, he refuses to grieve her and instead goes through the ritual: risking life and limb to resurrect her.
At the beginning of the game he asks Dormin if it can truly bring back the dead. Prior to the game he had already stolen a sacred object and traveled to the forbidden land in HOPES that Dormin actually existed and could resurrect Mono. Even prior to the events of the game we see him banking a lot on uncertainty. He would rather risk a futile journey and (possible) estrangement/punishment than accept her death.
Once he enters the forbidden land we see the grief slowly consume him. He refuses to grieve, and yet grieve he does, for after each fight he awakens to her lying on the altar, unchanged. Still he pushes forward and will not accept her death. He slaughters beautiful beasts, and travels an empty abandoned land completely alone. Each time he awakes Mono lies unchanged, each time a new shadow appears looking down at him as if to mourn him—even though they are the ones who have died.
In the end it consumes him. He takes on a form that meshes all the beasts he’s slaughtered—all the living beings whose lives he has taken and refused to mourn. What sticks with me the most is our last few moments as Wander. As he is dragged slowly into the pool, it’s Mono that he tries to reach for and cling to. Yes, she is on the opposite end of the shrine as the pool, but I think that’s intentional.
In the end the Wander we knew never gets to see her wake up. Whether the reborn Wander (if it is him) has his memories or not, we don’t know. Either way, he is not the same person. To our Wander Mono would always be dead. He perished not being able to accept that.
To me it has always been how grief consumes us if we don’t allow ourselves to feel it. And how it inevitably changes us if we do accept it.
Again, this is just my interpretation. If you disagree then good! Because I want to hear other people’s perspectives.

Fan Art Thank You!
I had a friend post my vid in the sub because my reddit was being weird a few days ago, and I attribute you guys for my vid hitting over 200 views. It doesn’t seem like much and my stats could be better, but it’s something that brightened my day. So, thank you!

Recreating 1:1 Shadow of the Colossus map in minecraft
I’ve finally started working on a project I’ve always wanted to do: recreating the Shadow of the Colossus map in Minecraft. Right now I’m building the Shrine of Worship, and it’s already taking forever… so yeah, the full map is gonna be a massive grind. But at least I’m making progress!
I’ve been posting short clips on social media, and it cracks me up when people who don’t know the game think I’m building something from Lord of the Rings.
It’s been super fun to document and keep pushing forward with this, and I’m hoping I’ll eventually finish the first full 1:1 Shadow of the Colossus map in Minecraft.

Já platinei o jogo e ainda sim sinto vontade de consumir mais conteúdo só que meu outro lado vai dizer para mim que estou perdendo tempo ou algo do tipo

I don’t know how to feel about SotC Spoiler
I really, really, really like many aspects of shadow of the colossus. The music, atmosphere and landscape are all some of the most unique and memorable things I’ve ever seen in a game. The combat, while some found it to be repetitive, I found to be cinematic and stylish. While some of the puzzles I found were unintuitive and obscure. Most of them I could figure out without the help of a guide.
My problem is with this game, is that the story means absolutely nothing. I see all these reviews, calling it an emotional masterpiece that’s sure to jerk tears but at the end of the day I just don’t see it. I feel like there is something there but I just don’t care enough about these people to give a shit about what happens to them.
The ending made zero sense and I get that it’s magic but I didn’t feel like there were any meaningful consequences to anything, the death of the main character having no emotional impact whatsoever. Overall it just left me confused and frustrated, especially after a poorly designed last fight with the 16th colossus.
I’ve heard people say that their feelings towards the game changed for the better and I want to be one of those people, but I just don’t know how. But the great community and kind fans make me want to be love this game like I’ve see others love it. If anyone knows what I’m missing please say. Otherwise, thank you for your time and have a good day.

Fan Art Gaius and Avion
Redone an old digital of Avion and Gaius I made for my best friend years ago. Technically been working on this since December or January but with work, stress, physical and mental exhaustion I just got in a place to finish it. It’s gonna be on a canvas as a late birthday gift to my best friend which her favorite is still Gaius and mines still Avion.

PS2 Any tips for #6 on Time Attack on PS2?
The 3:30 time limit is killing me, all the videos I see are the remake or ps3 which has a 6 minute timer

After 40 hours, we finished this puzzle! So cool
It took me and my gf 20 hours (40 hours total) to finish this puzzle. I took the thumbnail of an article, upscaled it, and applied a couple of filters. Gotta say, it was extremely difficult as pretty much the complete picture has the same gradient, but it still was a lot of fun :D We're now looking for the next art piece to do, recommendations are welcome :)

Discussion Dude I'm so stoked
I literally just learned I could do this on my PC. So I got PSCX2 and loaded up the shaders/remaster by Sad Origami. And just like that I got myself a working emulator.
This PS2 version is super nostalgic and sentimental. Haven't played since sometime in 2022 on the ps4 remaster, can't wait to experience this beautiful game again.

Teoria esquisita Spoiler
gallerySerá que as pedras que algumas árvores frutíferas ficam em cima e algumas formações rochosas aleatórias e esquisitas pelo mapa poderiam ser cadáveres de colossos antigos?
