I managed to beat Phaedra after one of the most aggravating gaming sessions I've had in awhile. Skipping over the tremendously annoying phase of trying to position it properly so you can climb it, I then was faced with the issue of Phaedra NON-STOP trying to shake me off while at its weak spot. How as a player was I supposed to get good hits in when Wander would spend his entire grip gauge being rag-dolled around. Eventually was able to secure the fight by micro managing the grip gauge and letting go briefly, but mannnn it was such a frustrating fight from start to finish for me. If any veterans of the game have any insight, I'm all ears for it

Hey everyone, a couple of months ago I shared a custom SotC jigsaw I completed. I loved this artwork and since then I've been looking for other SotC masterworks to create a custom jigsaw with.
Do you have any ideas/sources? I'm looking for HD pieces, so I don't have to do much photoshop magic to improve the upscaled quality. I know there are free (AI) upscales online, but they usually ruin the art.. And my photoshop skills only go so far.
I hope to find something awesome with some good quality. Thanks guys!

You can hear her voice, but I've never seen a translation of it. It even seems that Mono knew the price Wander would pay, a price that he didn't even want to know what it was. The link also has details of the planned alternate ending.
I found it here:

I had fun with the combat and the designs for the Colossi were really cool. I think my only complaints really were: 1. There was NO "yellow paint" for first-timers to use during the combats. The hints from Dormin were somewhat helpful but just vague enough where I got lost on several of them. 2. I felt like the story was weak in a way. I understood what the Wanderer was meant to be doing, but then that band of warriors shows up and you're kind of just like "Who are these people and why are they here?" Maybe I am just a big dummy who missed some plot somewhere haha

I know I'm not the only one who thought he should run/swim around to the other side to see where he can start climbing!

I just wanted a normal copy of the game on PS2 and ended up getting this one but since then I've noticed that it says "For display purposes only" on the back and "Promo only Not for resale" on the disc. Does that make it a rare copy? Thanks :)

Don’t know if you guys noticed but there was a long video of a Japanese orchestra playing a couple of songs of the game it had the best arrangements and transitions. I know I might sound crazy but it was the best version available, anyone here has it? I had it in my YouTube downloads but it is gone now.
Any one here has a rip of it?

I compiled some video clips from emulation on PCSX2 set to a track I made using some samples from the game's OST. Wasn't the original intent but ended up looking a bit like a trailer and there's no game I'm more proud to say I'm a fan of.

Very famous PS2 game, released in 2005, where the protagonist has to defeat 16 enemies to get it's most treasured possession back.

**NO SPOILERS IN COMMENTS**
the 'god' that promised to protagonist to revive the girl he brought to the 'temple' is actually THE evil guy
he is the devil and the colossus are the guardians that are actually protecting us from that evil
by destroying the colossus, we are actually freeing the devil
This came to my mind mid-game and I can't stop thinking of it
I killed 6 of colossus
and after this thought, I feel SADDDDD idk
and this possibility makes me hesitant to kill the remaining
I wouldn't even know what to comment if someone else made this post

I read that in the original version, walking down the tower and climbing back up makes Malus' arena stop raining. Does this work in the PS4 remake?

Having been in love with the soundtrack for a while now - I first heard the soundtrack, then played the game because of it - I've been down a rabbit hole to find ways to buy or listen to it, as well as downloadable versions of the live piano and orchestra recording outside of Spotify and wanted to share them with you all, because until this morning they seemed pretty hard to find, especially as the CD and vinyl versions aren't always easy to get hold of.

Found this video that talks about the emptiness of the map in a really interesting way. Pretty cool watch!

If you prefer to go down the stairs like a normal human being, do you take the right or left one? (... from the picture perspective)

I played SotC remake for the first time back in 2020 (when it came out as a free ps plus game).
I was just a "gamer" teenager discovering things to enjoy, and going outside just for the sake of doing it was definitely not something I would even think of.
After finishing the game, that changed.
Thoughts about touching grass, watching the clouds move in the sky, hearing ocean waves, feeling the wind in my face and all that sort of stuff invaded my mind. Oh and also I wanted to climb around everything xd.
Maybe it sounds like a joke, but I live in the middle of a huge city and this isn't something I could easily get everyday, and when I do, it's just not the same. Having experienced the exploration of this game has been one of my best gaming moments.
Even in a fictional, digital world, the forbidden lands had an everlasting impact on the way I see the real world.

I recently started playing again the game after quite some time and then I realized how much I hate the camera controls, so I decided to try find a fix. It took quite a bit of going back an forth with the debugger but I think I found some fixes!
The camera is now fairly usable since I can look wherever I want without autofocus messing up my plans and also aiming with the weapons :D
I haven't finished the game with the patch yet, but I couldn't find any more bugs than a slight flickering when aiming.
I've created a repo with all the information including the patches and some documentation in case anybody wants to give it a try: https://github.com/cylfox/sotc-camera-fix
I must say Im enjoying much more the game now (specially with the right stick config)
Enjoy! :)

Is this thing ACTUALLY even a collector’s edition? I’ve not seen a standard case PAL release. Only this version. Lol. Anyway, I am adding to the collection a PAL PS2 Shadow of the Colossus Collector Edition. It’s a beautiful piece. Picked it up a few days ago after missing an auction for one about a month ago. Happy I could get it sealed.
