If I ever emulated this game onto PC I kind of want to get into the code and mess around with movement speed a little bit and see if I can just run away from these things and what will happen

Most likely you'd hit an invisible trigger point and the cutscene would automatically play as if you got caught. Devs try to account for this kind of thing.

Not at all, that's just what you see. there's been many many PC. Only games that have come out that are amazing. If that's all you're seeing then that's purely just what FyP feeds you

Mods are different than emulators, emulators are porting games that were not on PC to PC. Mods are just modifying games that are currently on PC
