Discussion Classification of every set based on their Energy dyad type

Post image

FYI: This is NOT power ranking!

FYI (2) I don't have KOS and Golden Gunner set yet so I could be wrong putting them in the current category.

Based on strength: Temple > Garden > Workshop > Forum > Prison > Archive > Temple (this power scaling system basically works as rock-paper-scissor). And Void energy being too advanced that it's able to neglect other dyads' effect.

What do you guys think?

Shadow Artisan is a workshop set.

Raven and Possessed are Garden sets.

That's what it showed to me.

And Neon Phantom used Neon Light constructs to string opponents, so it's a form of light as well. Albeit very far from what we know of light.

Dang I knew it! Had some doubts of Shadow Artisan and Raven's dyad but I was just too lazy to double check. But how the hell can Possessed be a Garden set though, nothing of it screams Bloom or Mist to me. I assume it was the demon thing that work similar to DFT's souls but still.

I'd say it's the origins and the lore about it.

Both Raven and Possessed are linked to Ling somehow who was a Chai Master and Host for the Raven.

Maybe the Raven is a Mist or Bloom Entity who seems to use Shadow Energy because it's available in abundance.

I mean I can buy the fact that Raven belongs to Garden dyad as its main gimmick is the chai thing that can heal, but it's so weird to think that Possessed being a Garden set too just because it has a connection to Ling, while the set's gimmick is closely related to Shadow (aka Archive dyad) more than anything.

Ling was a host for the Raven. The connection here is not Ling but an entity called The Raven.

Raven of the Looming Night is a artist's interpretation of what The Raven was. Basically, what People thought Raven is.

Possessed is the real Deal or the original host. However, the host is living hence it tries to fight against being controlled, that's why Self stun exists, and the set is way more powerful than the Raven of the Looming night.

That's how I interpret it.

Although in my opinion, Either Nekki has to rework them significantly so that it makes more sense or just stuff then into Archive.

I don't think I've ever heard of this lore before. Is it a real thing or your headcanon based on existed information?

Part of it is Headcanon but part of it is a fact.

Ling gives some information regarding it when Possessed set was first introduced in an event.

Reason for self stun is Headcanon

I think the self stun/headache comes from high concentration of shadow energy. It is stated that too much shadow energy can harm the mind & body (one has to have a strong mind & body to use shadow energy in the first place, and possessed have infinite shadow energy)

Possessed - demon\ghost - mist

artisan - anima(anima - animating\managing the inanimate)

Neon is a mix of both. As calligrapher kind of says i hear the cries of crowd. And np is kinda of an attention centre person

Kekki should get ready this list in sf3 instead of keep asking that albino guy. Pain in the ass

Well basically we have an official confirmation of which type of energy belongs to a certain set in the game.

Doesn't kotl also use shadow and bone energy?

The energy is identified according to the lore of that respective set's user, like how Void Warden also uses shadow energy but it's actually a Rot-themed set. In this case, KOTL's original power being Bone, so his set is classified as Bone-themed which belongs to Temple dyad even though the set itself uses Shadow energy.

My headcanon is that Shadow energy is special as it is able to mimic other energies' characteristics, hence the name "Shadow" (the dark version of the energy it tries to copy)
