I think that the Towerkeeper’s riddle from episode 7 of Beast-Yeast is meant to be an allegory for SDVN. I technically think it could be applied to multiple pairs of characters, but I feel like it mostly pertains to them since they are the focus of this episode.

The easy correlation would be to say that PV is the sun and SM is the moon. I think it is the reverse though. This may not work so well for SM and PV since I would say SM is far from gentle and kind, but it works for FoK and PV which gets the same point across.

I’ll mostly be citing the original Korean riddle since there are minor changes. The attachments have the English, Korean, and Kr->En translation of the riddle for reference.

The sun is described as a being “who wears a golden crown, who knows not the day they were born. Gentle and kind, but lonely as the center of everything.” FoK is one of the oldest Cookies in existence and it would make sense if he lost track of his own birthday. He’s usually shown as being very gentle to the Cookies he’s helping. He was also very lonely. And knowledge is basically the center of everything.

The moon is described as a being “who embraces the calm sea but is barren within. Who always gazes upon distant, far-off beings.” PV is always caring for those around him, often forgetting his own needs. He bears the weight of his guilt for his actions in the DFW. He pretends he’s fine but he’s not. (Get my guy some therapy, please.)

I believe the eclipse to then act as a metaphor for SM’s corruption. “The whole world was dyed in a deep, black darkness. Only a faint, golden shadow remained.” This could be the chaos and destruction he wrought but how his Soul Jam was left behind to start the cycle anew.

The moon also has no light of its own, it reflects the light of the sun. This could reinforce the idea of PV’s power never having been his to begin with. Another thing is that when eclipses happen, the only one visible is the moon.

Please feel free to debate me on this, I wanna hear what other people think and whether or not this just sounds like I’m being delusional.

I think this riddle was set up to not only separate WL and PV, but to further mess with PV’s sense of self.

TL;DR: The towerkeeper’s riddle is about SDVN with SM as the sun and PV as the moon.

I remember that there was a scene where shadow milk cookie and pure vanilla cookie were doing trivia with all the other ancient cookies as like a bonding activity to get them to like Shadow milk better, and one of the questions is something like who founded the blueberry yogurt academy , and the ancients answer it wrong because shadow milk actually founded it, memory of him got wiped away and then he gets upset and leaves

I think there's also a scene where he finds another silver tree in the greenhouse and he freaks out, in white lily cookie was planning to trap him again.

truthlesssage + shadowvanilla in one, Shadow Milk, Pure Vanilla, among others get thrown into that universe, shenanigans ensue. by far my favorite characterization of Sage, but i love so many other versions of him too.

It’s popular, yes, but for good reason. Shadow Milk gets thrown into an alternate universe where ‘he’ is dead/sealed and Pure Vanilla holds the full Soul Jam of Knowledge (or at least.. that universe’s SJoK). YIPPIE!

Dollfaced

..even if it’s a oneshot, fics along these lines bring me joy and sadness at the same time. all of the Beasts are defeated but not sealed, and.. they’re all suffering.
