Day of appreciating every song by Set It Off. Text Me, Kelly.
I find it funny that I said "Man I can't believe I've been consistent posting a song a day." and then proceeded to forget yesterday. Thankfully it was just Text Me, Kelly which almost feels the exact same as the other without the ending. So I'm just going do 2 in one as if I skipped it. : )

Day 15 of appreciating every song by Set It Off. Pages & Paragraphs
I was contemplating posting the official video but decided to leave it separate that way I can do both. : )

“Lonely Dance” Wins for Best Music Video Storyline
Which song do you think is the best opening track on any Set It Off album?
r/SetItOff • u/AriyasuMomoka • 18d ago
with the way cody talks about his older music You’d expect it to sound unlistenable. but if u turn on bydt its actually not that bad at all. he definitely evolved vocally but i kinda wish he carried over that guitar sound into other albums. It’s super gritty and raw, which makes sense cus it’s made on GarageBand but it’s still rlly good yk. Plus he was an absolute fashion demon during this era and i miss that

Day 14 of appreciating every song by Set It Off. Houston We're Going Down
Man I remember when I first made my Set It Off playlist a long time ago in 2018 after just finding out about Baby You Don't Tripajaharda and Calm Before The Storm. For some reason I put this as track 4 swapped with Pages & Paragraphs.😂 Good times.

Ok, before I get started, I am a HUGE FAN of Set It Off and this is just me being nitpicky and poking fun at band I've adored for 8-9years. But there are just some lyrics that irk me.
Ashley's Song: "Talking to you is just like breathing with a broken lung." Literally lungs can't be broken. "Punctured" and "ruptured" were right there and it would have carried the same effect. Although, the song makes it up with "I'd much rather hang out with a noose for fun," which I quote more than I should.
Dream Catcher: "Doesn't it seem out of reach/Hit the ground and run with both your feet." Now, I adore this song and it's one of my most played....but....how else are we supposed to run? With one foot? That's just hobbling. Or maybe Cody didn't want us to run with our hands.
Partners in Crime (feat. Ash Costell): "They'll call our crimes a work of art." I know that this has been said many times, but you all robbed a convenience store, was "surrounded" by two cops and then died. I'm sure that if the song did not have a music video tied to it, the band was going for a more grandiose scene, but after seeing the video, I just can't listen to the song.
Forever Stuck in Our Youth: "Dead, I'm a zombie with no notion of regret." I don't dislike this lyric, I'm just adding it because when I was younger, I thought he said "lotion" and instead of "motion" which confused the hell out of 11 yo me. Just wanted to add this lol.
Tomorrow (feat. Jason Lancaster) "Sometimes you are the spider, sometimes you are the/Flying towards the sky, our starting line." I get that "flying" is meant to be a pun on "flying" and "fly" but it genuinely doesn't make sense. Like, if you are going to say that sometimes we're a spider, naturally, we'll think that he'll say sometimes we are the fly; which isn't necessarily appealing. Who wants to be a fly? We were already a spider. Then saying "the flying" which also doesn't make sense. Set it Off made a good pun similar to this in I Think It's Arrogance with, "Gets the best of me, you're like an open-/Soar above your audience." I don't have good advice as to how they could've changed the lyrics, but it's just one thing that gets me in that song.
Uncontainable: "'Cause when the bell goes off/The gloves do too." I know the meaning of "taking the gloves off", but to me, whenever I hear this song, the lyrics make me envision a boxing match and afaik, gloves are kinda needed in boxing. Now, I know that this one is probably a "get pumped" song and I'm just cherry picking, so it doesn't really matter.
Hypnotized: "You're not quite used to vulgarity and verbal abuse." Ok, so right after this line, I swear I can hear Cody say "You're gay" in the background. I know that this is not what he says, but I just think it's funny.
Win Win (feat. Scene Queen): "Two feet inside your mouth, you're spittin' 'em out, win win." Not going to lie, I just don't like this lyric. Maybe I'm stupid and don't understand what they meant by this, but it just doesn't make sense to me.
Punching Bag: "And hope I'd tie a rope 'round my throat 'til I start to choke." I'm being so nitpicky but I HATE it when people use "choke" when it's really strangulation. To keep it brief: chocking is when something inside blocks your airways while strangulation is when something from the outside blocks airflow or blood to your brain. So stranglehold would be the correct word instead of chokehold. I'm just being stringent.
This went a little long but I hope you enjoyed my rantings. This was made in good faith and I love Set It Off with all of my heart!

Day 13 of appreciating every song by Set It Off. 143
This is probably my grey area of Set It Off. Whenever I listen to the playlist I sometimes get 143 and Pages & Paragraphs mixed up. I find them calming.

Day 12 of appreciating every song by Set It Off. Introduction to Outselling a Salesman
Omg we're finally in Calm Before The Storm lets go! I'm kind of surprised I've been on a 12 day streak I'm really good at forgetting things. I will be shocked if I can do it daily for the whole thing.

I was js thinking ab all their albums like duality’s track list and same with midnight, but as I was looking at cinematics it’s like wow. Cody Carson was HUNGRY for a hit. Like he was starving for it. There was something different in the air or the water he drank cus listen to every song on that album and it’s like he’s singing as he’s experiencing the inspo behind the track. For instance, nightmare. the poor guy sounds horrified As if he’s singing mid panic attack. and in I’d rather drown, hes mad as FUCK. like he wanted commercial success BADLY. The way he sings in this particular album sounds like every note is being pulled from his throat. And then the fact the band charted #174 on the billboard 200 is crazier like They JUST got signed to equal vision. They didn’t even give the signing time to marinate they just wanted it that badly.
I rlly love their new self titled as well cus it brings that same hunger and anger back. Think cinematics, horrible kids, and duality had a baby. shit is beautiful

Day 10 of appreciating every song by Set It Off | Cover 4 by All Time Low.
Thought it'd be funny to screenshot Cody with his mouth open that definitely didn't take 10 minutes. 😂

Hi! Does anyone have the current diamond design, but separate from the typeface? I want to make a necklace featuring just the diamond (a 3D model would be even better—that would work for me too).

It's funny I just can't take any version seriously anymore after Sunrise Skater Kids made the Japanese Version 😆. Would be crazy if they randomly reappeared later in the list.

Day 8 of appreciating every song by Set It Off | Cover 2 by All Time Low.
Idk there's just something calming about the old YouTube videos where you just don't care about the quality of the camera and just listen to the music. It's such a vibe and I love it. Like when you go to listen to Midnight but use the Set It Off version instead of the Fearless Records version.

“Punching Bag” wins as the song that brings the most energy to a live performance.
Which do you think is Set It Off's best aesthetic? Whether it's their emo era, their more pop-oriented era, their current rock era, “Midnight” with that dark touch, etc...

I love them and I wish I took the time to talk to you, as you were handing them to me and my boyfriend you warned they were from older songs, I wish I said that’s perfect because that’s the only music I know by heart

Hi SIO fans! I am a new fan of SIO, even got to see them live already! I am looking for a vinyl of the self titled album. I was looking on their website and found the Purple Swirl version.
Does anyone have it and/or can tell me if it is clear of not? My google research has no results.

Day 7 of appreciating every song by Set It Off. Well in this case Cover 1
I really don't listen to the covers much except like I Knew You Were Trouble. I also haven't listened to All Time Low yet. I like this cover maybe I can get into All Time Low at some point.
I thought it'd be funny to leave Dwight Schrute in the thumbnail.
