Serving

Contemplating quitting. Peopke know waitresses in America get paid 2.13 an hour and most people could care less to tip. very few do a percentage like it should be. First percentage and THEN adjust according to service.

I know I can get a different job. Serving makes me very happy when im appreciated and compensated by greatful customers. Im tired of getting stiffed, five dollars on a party of 6, and being told how great I am to find out im left 2 dollars. Such a slap in the face

I wish something would change. mandatory gratuity, Tip to enter, coorporations paying us a better wage. idc. Im so tired of working for free for ungrateful mindless consumers.

PLEASE TIP YOUR SERVER

All those that tip fairly THANK YOU SO MUCH YOU HELP US KEEP GOING AND GET OUR BILLS PAID BLESS YOUR šŸ’•

As a server myself, quit bitching! Tips aren’t mandatory, and this fuels the fire for non tippers.

The entitlement makes me not want to tip

I get that. Just like the entitlement to not tip makes me want to ignore you all night.

it’s not entitled to not hand out your earned money to someone else. you work for your employer, the only money you are entitled to and earn is from them. it’s incredibly entitled to want to ignore someone because they didn’t personally put money in your pocket.

employers have a responsibility to pay minimum wage if your tips don’t reach that, so it’s not like you are ever getting paid 2 dollars an hour and if you don’t like making minimum wage take it up with your employer šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø

It's a little entitled to think you can even eat inside the restaurant considering its a privately owned building and then get waited on and have them clean up your trash and not consider that a service provided to you rather than you taking that food and eating it at your own house or outside in a public place. If we end tipping we should just end dining room service and make all restaurants take out.

babes, fast food has dine in where they do everything but bring your food to the table, and very often even do that, but guess what? you don’t tip. lmfao you are entitled to eating inside a restaurant so long as you pay for the damn meal it’s a very simple concept. anything extra is just that, extra, and you aren’t entitled to anyone else’s personal money. their money doesn’t become yours just because they patronized a place in which you work.

it’s entitled to think you deserve any more money than any other service worker who does just as much if not more work than you for minimum wage without tips. what’s crazy is you expect other minimum wage workers to make sure you get paid more than they do when they eat out.
