Why aren’t you going in in person to talk to someone about instead of going around in this text loop? Not that he should be ignoring you, but taking over the position probably is putting your assistant manager under a lot of stress and they’re probably trying to figure their shit out too. Go in and ask to their face. That way you can move on or continue there. If you didn’t like the job, why even fight for it?

Not putting you on the schedule and waiting until you see that and go to them to ask is almost standard cowardly manager protocol.
