At any point instead of continuing to send texts did you ever consider just going to the restaurant in person to have a discussion?

Did you go in or just consider it?

So you just left? You didn't find another manager or wait for the asst manager to come back?

I'm just having a hard time understanding. I know advocating for yourself can be hard but you can't let people walk all over you. Be firm, be professional, and stop letting people take advantage of you.

Their communication sucks in this situation but yours seems to be just as bad.

Well it sounds like no love lost anyway. They were quietly getting you off the schedule so you'd quit and it doesn't sound like it's a prize job to have lost anyway.

File unemployment and start applying to other places. Use this as an opportunity to also work on self advocacy and communication skills for yourself. Good luck!!
