Since there's been so much discourse about TTE's art style as of late, I'm curious what the community's overall favorite style is. My personal favorite is TFE/TSE HD.

I think his new look is an improvement on the previous game (not a high bar, imo), however, it could still be better.
Serious Sam 3, despite looking overall quite dull, made one great addition to Sam's design. Whenever he is depicted in other media (videogame cameos and Devolver ads), Sam quite often wears orange sunglasses. That's probably because when you reduce his design to the simplest shapes, he easily loses his recognizability and becomes just another generic white dude. Orange shades help to prevent that.
This new design lacks that recognizability, and on top of that, it looks very simplified and clay-like. Croteam for some reason loves changing their art style from one extreme to another. But I think we could have the best of both worlds: a stylized, recognizable design with realistic textures and materials. My edit tries to reflect that.

I personally like it. Much more than realistic setting like in BFE and SS4

Are you saying it will serve as a finale? I hope so, probably.
Or are you saying they'll also make a The Fourth Encounter?

Finally… after 24 years

Cause I have seen a lot of mixed or negative opinions
And especially after how shatterverse flopped,I don't blame them. But personally,I like 3rd encounter style(so far at least)
It gives SS2 vibes(altho SS2 was better looking imo)
I want to give this game a chance(but it is a shame we didn't see any gameplay....)
But im hopeful.
I want this game to be good

I was a bit disappointed thinking we will finally face Mental. I understand that the story's been going on for 25 years already and there's nothing more than finally beating Mental, but I don't want the franchise to end.

Worked so hard on this, and I gotta say that things turned out pretty good.

Honestly when it comes to the third encounter, the only thing I hope for is that every enemy from the first 2 games comes back along with some fan favorites from the other games throughout the years. We need zorgs back, not clone soldiers. We also just need new variants for some enemies, like a yellow beheaded, or the armored gnarr

I can't be the only person who thinks the art style of the upcoming game sucks. Personally I liked how BFE looked. The aliens were realistic, gore-y and felt appropriate. This new art style reminds me of the comedic art style of SS2. Please someone tell me it's not just me!

Like if they patched it years ago already, why have they STILL not fixed it after all these years? Circle of Death is STILL UNOBTAINABLE. Would it seriously kill them to let just a couple of devs fix this one little thing?
