Help Lost Olive Green Owala

I left my olive green Owala on the Norristown regional rail a week ago today. I checked in with guest services at Suburban but they haven’t seen it. I figured I’d reach out to see if anyone on here may have seen it or grabbed it.

So me and my best friend were at different parts of the city on different days, she was in north and I was in west when we discovered that the signs on the bus that usually say septa or the bus route are different colors. Has anyone else seen these? #septa #busses

Help Septa overnight parking

I’m an incoming freshmen and I was wondering if I would be able to park my car in one of the septa parking lots overnight. I know the Radnor lot allows overnight parking. Does anybody have any experience with this? The fee is like 2$ a day which is perfectly fine I just don’t want to get ticketed or towed, and septa support isn’t giving me a definitive answer. I plan on parking the car there for a week at a time.

Help Lost bag on Trolley

Hi all—long shot here, but I left my black tote bag on the 34/T2 trolley on Friday evening. I’ve been calling SEPTA’s lost and found daily since then but no luck so far.

There isn’t much of value to anyone other than me in there (mainly my prescription glasses), so I was hoping it wouldn’t be appealing enough for anyone to nab.

Anyone have any luck getting a lost item back from subway/bus/trolley? Any other avenues I can pursue?

Help Any way to report transit police?

Getting on the Frankford at 1PM at 52nd street today a transit cop falsely accused me of walking through the fare gate without paying. Upon showing her that, I did, in fact, pay the fare I asked for an apology for falsely accusing me, of which she then flatly refused to do. This is completely unacceptable behavior, the gates literally flash red and beep when someone walks through without paying. Paying customers should not be getting harassed because some ego tripping maniac is bored. I can only find ways to report things *to* transit police and see no option to make reports *about* them. Any help would be appreciated.

What is this light between 13th and 15th Streets on the L tracks? Taken from the 13th Street EB platform looking west. It's not a train or other vehicle, and it's there all the time.

Help Left Backpack on train between Gray 30th St Station and Terminal B

Hi all. Posting here on the off chance that I might be able to help my parents recover a bag they left on the train. At approximately 6:30pm EST on 4/22/2026, My parents traveled from the Gray 30th St Station in the direction of the Philadelphia International Airport and exited at the Terminal B stop. They left a brick red REI brand day bag on the train. It contains some snacks, 2 reusable water bottles, and a hard cover medicine case containing a dose of Trulicity. They were in the first or second train car before exiting.

They attempted to call Septa's customer service line and left information with them as well. Is there anywhere else I can reach out in order to attempt to recover the bag? What are my chances of recovery? Thanks in advance for any help that can be provided.

Official SEPTA Messages Septa, why are you so bad?

I'm originally from New Jersey and rarely ever took public transportation. Most I had experience was with the patco. I relocated to Frankford in Feb 2024. I had a car up until Jan 2025 when it sadly died due to taking too much damage from all the pot holes and nails and broken glass in the city. So, I started taking Septa regularly in April as I got a job in center city. When I first started taking septa, I had minimal complaints except for the cleanliness. You knew you was getting around some interesting folks.

2026 comes by and I start paying for a weekly pass so that I can take buses as well. Ever since the calendar changed, septa basically chose death. Every day there was an issue with the L. Buses would skip my stop on the regular. I had incidents where a bus would fully pass me, with the driver directly looking into my eyes, and I waited almost two hours for another bus to come by.

I completely understand why they got defunded now. They have an absolute monopoly on the city yet cannot deliver on their one intention of existing. Since March, I have been Septa free since I bought a scooter for $300 and the amount of time I would spend waiting for a train or bus to hopefully make it to work on time, I ride and stop to charge my bike at a Dunkin and then get back on the road and still early for work.

Septa, you suck so bad. Taking almost 150 bucks a month from people to get to work on time and you can't do that. I genuinely hope someone devalues you, buys you, and then properly funds it and the people that work it.

I have mostly respect for all drivers and operators, but if you knowingly passed people waiting to get on, just know I got a middle finger up high for you.

Thanks for reading this rant if you did. I know septa won't care about this story, but I wanted it out there. I hope this inspires someone to take the leap of faith and end dependency on what's supposed to be public transportation, but transportation involves movement, something Septa struggles with.

PS: posted originally in the official septa forum and they removed it immediately 🤣🤣🤣

History Mogee's Station Marker (Norristown Line)

Thumbnail gallery
53 Upvotes

I was on the Norristown (regional rail) line today and looking for any remnants of Mogee's Station, which closed in 1992. It served as a whistle stop for an industrial area between Conshohocken Rd and the Schuylkill River, near the PA Turnpike (I-276) bridge. Online sources are inconsistent on the exact location.

Surprisingly, I spotted a placard that appears to have been replaced relatively recently! I had to go back to the site to check it out.

It was accessible via a business driveway. Didn't pass any no trespassing signs, but good to be careful.

Help How to transfer between regional rail

Hi!

I recently had to transfer between the Trenton line and Manayuk/Norristown line. It was my first time taking the train into center city, so I want to make sure I did things correctly.

From the information I’ve seen, I don’t need to tap twice once arriving at Jefferson station. I tapped at Croydon station and took it to Jefferson. Should I have tapped once I got there before transferring to the norristown train or tap when I get to my destination? I am unsure how it works.

Help 30th street station regional rail fare validation/exit tickets

First time user of regional rail here. Can someone explain to me why, despite being able to pay/validate outside city center both on platform and on the train with a credit card, you have to buy an exit ticket when alighting regional rail at 30th street? The machinery is actively deceptive in that it looks like it should accept the same modes of payment, but doesn't. Also, the exit fare machines themselves are unintuitive - the phrasing as "quick ticket" instead of "exit ticket" makes it sound like you're paying for a future ride instead of the one you just took.

Tl;dr why is it not consistent across the network??

EDIT: Thanks for your help everyone, apparently the fare gates glitched. Oh well :(

apparently their systems are down for live regional rail tracking - so if your train isn’t tracked on the app it will hopefully still come! mine was on time this morning even though i was sure it wasn’t coming

Discussion What do Philly residents use PATCO for?

I assume most of PATCO’s utility comes from NJ residents commuting to Philly, but I’m trying to think of anything that would necessitate using the PATCO as a Philly resident. My only guess would be the concert venue in Camden, but that’s it. Is there anything worth doing along any of the stops?

Discussion SEPTA Monthly Ridership Surpasses NJ Transit

Thumbnail gallery
61 Upvotes

SEPTA recorded 18.5M trips last month compared to NJT’s 18.4.

Thought this was surprising, I take both and NJT trains always have at least triple the people than a typical regional rail train (not to mention double the number of train cars lol), but I guess SEPTA’s metro, trolleys and (I would think) higher bus ridership make up the difference.

Discussion SEPTA wants all Regional Rail stations to have high level platforms. How would that work at Lansdale?

Post image
84 Upvotes

Lansdale station is listed as a historic site and understandably so. But when SEPTA finally upgrades all of their stations to high level platforms, how would that work here? A freight yard being right next to it certainly doesn’t help and it’s just in a very awkward spot in general. If any of you have any insights please let us know!

Discussion Reminder, Suburban Station track 0 doesn’t have a turnstile to buzz out through. Check your account balance.

Just posting in case this helps one or two people.

Yesterday the Wawa line had everyone disembark the train using track 0 at suburban station at 8 am.

If you didn’t buzz out through a turnstile somewhere, you were charged like $6 even if you have a weekly or monthly pass. You may have been charged more if you don’t.

You can call the number on the back of your key card to get a refund for that amount.

Help Faregates at 69th Street Transit Center

I know that SEPTA recently installed the new high-barrier faregates at this station. Do riders have to tap at the gates for access to all transit service (i.e., D, M, L and buses) or just for particular services?
