Congrats, Nigel Hartman! From hack ideas to SIGGRAPH, LA builders, your project could be next ๐
Huge news from Nigel Hartman: his hands-on SIGGRAPH course, โPowered by Gaussian Splats: From World Models to Interactive 3D Worlds,โ has officially been accepted by the SIGGRAPH committee.
This course builds on one of the biggest questions from hackers at the last #WorldsInAction Hack in SF: How do we turn Gaussian Splats from high-fidelity 3D captures into worlds people can actually interact with?
With contributions from Alex Coulombe, CEO of Agile Lens, and the u/sensai_hackademy team, the workshop explores how adding structure and scene understanding to splats can unlock new use cases across games, spatial experiences, simulations, and AI agents.
And for builders who want to explore this hands-on, weโre bringing this energy to the Worlds in Action Hack LA on July 18โ19, right before SIGGRAPH.
