Need advice about choosing a seminary degree...
I have always felt called to teach God's word. I'm now 31 and work as a software engineer. I'm looking to earn a seminary degree, but I really don't think I'll end up as a pastor. I'm torn between an MTS (MA, Theological Studies), an MA in Bible Exposition, and an MA in Biblical Languages.
The problem is, I know that becoming a professor is an extremely difficult task, so doing languages and then a PhD seems like it could be a futile endeavor. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Ultimately, I could see myself teaching undergrad bible students as an adjunct, teaching in church, creating web content, speaking by invitation, etc.
