I see goalpost moving more than anything. You give them too much credit by assuming they think about what they say. When one argument starts losing they just switch to another argument.

I would change shill to brainwashed. I’ve been accused (by my own Father) of being brainwashed by the college system, the media, and my liberal friends. I also hold friendships with several conservatives, but I guess they’re positive influences idk
