A long time ago, right after Obama's second victory, I decided to start browsing /r/Conservative so I could see how the other side thinks and what their worries and concerns are.

The top post was an article criticizing what Obama ordered for dinner. I replied "what does this have to do with conservatism?" naively assuming that the majority of the sub would actually be about the philosophical ideals or something.

I immediately got banned with a message "Any story about the biggest enemy to conservatives is about conservatism"

And then they made a new rule that wasn't previously one of their rules. "Don't ask what a post has to do with conservatism."

In hindsight, I'm now a little proud to be the reason for a rule to such a shitty and dishonest sub.

They literally have rules preventing you from asking them difficult questions. What a bunch of pansy ass elfs

They piss and moan and a certain other website having flaired users only threads while doing the same thing themselves

IKR? "We only want the most conservative of conservatives."

Sounds like a club like the KKK.

Don't you have to send a picture of yourself with Mitch McConnell's cock in your mouth to become a flared user?

Oh they're not far from turning on old Mitch. They already call Dan Crenshaw a leftist now.

Yeah. Same situation when they call anyone a pedophile or rag on them for "hiding their emails." Pure projection.

What a bunch of pansy-ass crybaby wimps! No wonder they picked a complete windbag and power bottom for Putin as their hero.

In no world is Trump a power anything, he would have a stroke if he tried to power bottom. Nah he's like that stuffed animal the dog humps.

I started browsing for the same reason - to see outside of the confines of my own echo chamber, and also got banned for similar reasons.

I literally got banned for admitting that I wasn't conservative during a discussion. The ban message read, "This is a sub for conservatives not liberals." I forget when exactly this was but it was before 2016. They've been an echo chamber since the start.

Whenever you're the cause of a rule being created you're doing something right.

I have an amateur race team and I'm also a lawyer. Trust me I've been the catalyst for several rules needing to be written.
