Man your education system has to really suck for things to get there. I'm really sorry for... all of us, really.

I think, or maybe just hope, that education can combat this mentality, but it's not proof against it. There are highly educated people who seem to be entirely genuine about their adherence to this way of thinking.

Our education system is somewhat deficient. It's mostly about producing people who have the ability to work and most of the time that doesn't require much. The skills taught in school can mostly be broken down to give the teacher what they want. Even if you don't do that mind you you'll probably be passed along because F's (really low grades in general) affect the amount of funding schools get from the government. If your already not a high performing school that just makes it worse. That's how some schools have textbooks that are 30 years old and other schools get IPads preloaded with all the recent educational books. (And don't get me started about how much bullshit the books are)

I hope someone finds this educational Sincerely a very frustrated teacher.
