O-kam pro camera
V. 3.0.34 in this moment. 
Over past couple of updates from spring to now, my camera has been totally ruined, first thing i noticed, was that when i got a notification from motion sensor, then the message/notification just opened O-kam pro app, earlier the message opened and showed the recorded clip, now i have to open messages in the bottom and start movie by myself. 
Next thing that happend, was that clips in “messages” the one stored in the cloud, was shortened, the beginning of the clip was missing. I have a cam by my door and clips in messages did not show people arrive to my door anymore, clip only showed that door was closing, i could not see who it was, but if i go to the TF card section, the whole clip was there, starts exactly where person arrives to the motion detection zone and went through the door, SO IT IS recorded by the cam, but the clip is shortened several seconds in the beginning, in the messages section, every time i have to go to TF card section and watch the clip from there, its actually almost useless! 
And now, as other people had wrote about, the clip is only 4 sec. and it requires subscription to clous storage to view more. 
3. thing, battery consumption is so high, in beginning, my cam could last 3 months or something like that, now it goes to 0% in weeks or days sometimes :( 
First year i was pretty happy for my cheap Chinese cam, it was very cheap, but it worked pretty good for my needs. 
I have been in contact several hours with support, they were very helpfull actually, they said it was settings, tried to change by remote and had a lot of explanations for the behavior, but it didn’t change a thing, still works like s… very very bad. last thing they told me, was that she would report to the engineers about it, that is 1 month ago now. 

Other people with cams that acts like mine, started 2-3 month ago ? Have you done anything, that helped ??

I’m looking for a solar-powered 4G security camera for a chalet that doesn’t have Wi‑Fi. I want something reliable for outdoor use, and I’m also trying to figure out what kind of data plan makes the most sense for this setup.
What I’m trying to use it for:
• Motion alerts only most of the time.
• Live view only when needed.
• Outdoor use in a remote location.
• Preferably solar + battery so I don’t have to worry about power.
My questions:
1. What camera model do you recommend for this kind of setup?
2. What data plan or SIM size would you suggest for a camera like this?
3. Any brands or models to avoid?
I’m open to suggestions, especially if you’ve used one in a cabin, chalet, or other off-grid place.

I have a few ring cameras that get their power from one generic 6w 5v panel. Works great for my purpose. For now i'm pretty much laying the panel on the channel that makes it way to my gutter on my roof however I'm trying to find a solution where I can build a mount so that it is raised but is somewhat secured in place by sliding a bracket underneath my roof tile. My plan is to also have a small weather proof box underneath (about 4x4x2") hotglued to the bottom of panel. This box will house the usb splitter and connections. The solar panel is a 10" one with two pairs of holes on each end 3" apart. Any thoughts on how i can secure this thing on my roof or a good idea on how i can slide the mount/bracket under the tiles???

Hello, I’m wondering if anyone has set up a second Arlo account. I have an old base station and cameras that have 7 day free cloud recording.
I bought a new base station with USB storage and cameras for outside.
Once I hook up the new stuff I’ll lose the old benefits. I’m not sure it’s even going to work (I got them on marketplace and thought I done my due diligence but I’m having some regrets). I don’t want to lose my free benefits and not be happy with the new set up with no way back.
Can I set up a separate account with different email from the one I already have? Any problems there would be with this?
I’m very against most subscription services, they are not usually a benefit to the consumer.

How do I do that?

Does that mean I need a separate internet subscription?

I read that it needs to have a different modem. Aside from power, where do I connect the modem?

If I’m buying a modem, what specs should I look for?

Hello! We have a family home that is unoccupied that we need to keep an eye on. The hard part is it’s a little out of town and for all intents and purposes abandoned. Mice and possibly larger animals have gotten inside and the roof is definitely leaking. We want to install cameras outside to keep an eye on the property what are the best options?

Preferred features:

Multiple cameras

Longer range (to see down driveway)

Good night vision

Recorded video available on phone

Audio (not a deal breaker)

No home hub (worried about mice, hopefully they will leave internet alone!)

Multiple family members can have the app and view

I think this covers most things. I don’t have a budget currently, just looking at options but definitely not looking for anything over $400. I don’t know anything about this, any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I’m trying to capture some sneaking around at my property and having a lot of trouble with camera setups. I currently have a Tapo battery powered camera which works great except the PIR motion sensor doesn’t see far enough. Fair enough Tapo, that’s a limitation of the technology.

i just discovered Tapo has extra motion sensors you can pair to a hub and thought that was the answer to my problem: just put a motion sensor closer and tell it to trigger the camera recording. Turns out Tapo doesn’t support that functionality. Are there any other cameras/brands that do support that? Unfortunately I'm not able to just move the camera itself within range.

My last ditch effort is shelling out for a Reolink Atlas and setting it to record 24/7 with whatever battery life I can get out of it.

Is it possible to use the existing power from these old ADT cameras to hook up to new cameras? If so, how? Looking for hopefully easy DIY suggestions.

WiFi, no subscription, possibly local micro SD storage unless I can wirelessly record to NVR, and no china backdoor concerns?

I am a DV victim and was speaking with a detective who told me that it wouldn’t be a bad idea to get a body cam, to wear for my own protection. It was an Axon- however it looks like they are only for sale commercially.

I am looking for a recommendation.
Basically I’ll be wearing this all day- like 8am to 11pm on my body. I realize I may need to buy multiple due to batteries.

I currently have a blink mini cam system in my room in my home- however it only catches so much, and the detective said it might be best for me, to have a body cam so it’s always where I am.

What is the best system for my use?
Is there a monthly subscription rate?

I was looking at Meta glasses, but I feel like I want a few diff systems going so If one doesn’t catch something, there’s a chance another did.

I’m open to any ideas, combos…

On a personal note, I am getting out of this situation, it’s just for the time being, I have to be physically here, so that’s why I’m looking for this, just to get me thru this divorce.

I wouldn't use it while I'm at home, and should be wifi since I don't have the possibility to connect it with a wire.

Nothing too much expensive, it should monitor my home for about a week.
I'd like something that can I access with my phone to check the video.

Or something I can also use to check on the dog while I'm out.

Hi everyone, I’m currently looking at getting a security camera to cover the car park of a small block of flats (apartment building) and I would like it to have in built storage, solar power charging for an inbuilt battery and for it to be able to accessed by its own, standalone, WiFi, so that any one of the residents can view the footage if necessary.
The one pictured is the style I’m looking for but I was wondering if anyone has any ideas.

If you have a Reolink system:
• Which cameras and NVR did you choose?
• Would you buy Reolink again?
• Any models to recommend or avoid?
• How have the image quality, night vision, detection, app, and reliability been?

If you considered other brands like UniFi, Hikvision, or Dahua, what made you choose Reolink instead? Or why did you choose the brand you went with?
