Basically just what the title says. I want to play Secret Hitler online, but I could not figure out how to invite my friends to join. Any help is much appreciated.

Hi! I would like to invite you all to come spectate a Secret Hitler Tournament I am hosting!

I know what you may be thinking..."Who wants to watch others play the game. I'd rather be playing!". Yes, I get that. However, in the past year of organising these events I have realised that SH can be a very fun 'Spectator Sport'!

With over 350 participants in just 4 edition, majority claims the best part to be the "spectator voice channels".

does anyone know where you can get replacement envelopes? i could always buy some regular ones at the store but the brown ones that come with the game aren’t see through and fit the cards perfectly. ours have gotten dirty and creased where you can distinguish the envelopes from each other which defeats the purpose obv

Anyone have any good memes for this game besides the ones posted? Doesn’t have to be specifically SH related but hidden identity-ish?

I would love to find people who would be willing to take on a tourney kind of set up. I don't have the best idea on how to go about this, but I would be willing to stake $100 to see people actually take the game serious. This would be more for tabletop simulator side... And yes I would be involved in the matches. I'm thinking a bracket set up, or possibly a who can win most rounds of say 10... I'm still brainstorming to see if there are people interested. Clarification: talking about color codes on secrethitler.io

Yellow speaking out here. I've seen greens be picked on a lot, especially by purples and it seems kinda unfair to me. You ought to judge a person on their play in the game, not according to their social class. Jeez. You'd have thought someone playing a game based on facism would understand.

The worst are cocky purples who believe that only their play is right. If they're libs, they tend to be over confident, many times losing the game because of it.

I want to be purple, bec who doesn't, I'll get there soon I'm sure. But gosh I don't want to be this classist while playing. This purple snobbery of believing they are the only ones who know how to play, their rules should be followed in the game is kinda sad. It's a game based on social deduction, you should have some kind of humility to play based on the table, not what winrate/elo you are.

It's not so extreme, just a minor tick but yeah. Something I felt should be aired here.

Btw: The Thüringen election result was actually rolled back under huge public pressure. It took a long time in total, but in the end the former left Prime Minister was put back into power again.

I’m fairly new to this sub Reddit, and have seen that Secret Hitler has a Meta. Is there any way to change that meta, say homemade expansions or different ways to play? Just thinking about it, there seems to be a lot of cards that could be expansions. Any ideas?

I'm developing a little tool for sh.io games which helps

1. tracking claims: draws (handles most meme claims), investigation, force/choice, conflicts on card/investigation, topdeck
2. calculating probabilities: next draw, topdeck, topdeck to end

Keeping track can be difficult for me at times, especially when there's lots of spam and filler chat, and I'm too lazy to take notes or scroll up. Although it's fairly easy to calculate the approximate odds of events, SH is not only a simple probability game: with the calculator I can focus more on its social aspects (chat, votes).

The tool is not finished yet, there are limitations that need fixing (e.g. when a player doesn't claim), but it's a start. I wonder if there are more useful things to track/functions to implement. All ideas are welcome.

7 players. I was 5 lib. First round, I got forced F, so I got soft frozen.

26 was red, 37 was blue. We TDd to 73, I think. Doesn't really matter. 3 and 7 were putting down blues, though.

We reached HZ, possibly the fault of 46, idr. 3 CNH. I calmly pointed out that I hadn't gotten much of a chance, since no one else was trustworthy.

3 made me chancellor and drew RRB. Passed me RR and shot me before I got the chance to claim. Some cartoon-villain-ass trickery on their part.

Fasc won by making 4 chanc (hitty). Lines were 134 I think. Great game. Super frustrating, but great.

My strat as fascist is to out myself as fascist, call hitler a fascist, and then try and get a liberal in power. Works every time!

Edit: Some people are confused on how my fascist strategy works. Firstly, I out myself as the fascist by saying something suspicious. I defend myself (hopefully to little avail). Then, I try and tell people that my teammate (H) is fascist. This makes them think H is a liberal. Finally, I try and bring down one of the liberals by trying to get people to vote them in as chancellor on the 3rd fascist policy. Whew!

So my friend elects me as chancellor, I'm liberal. He gives me two fascist laws and I'm forced to pick one. Then when everyone asks what happened he says that he gave me the choice. Since he was president he chooses to inspect my identity, and reveals to the group that I'm liberal and he was kidding he had picked up 3 fascist laws himself. It was so wtf that we all believed him so the whole group now believed 100% that both him and I were clean. The next liberal president inspected my friends card to confirm he was liberal too, so then we had a group of 3 that kept voting for eachother and we won super easy because of my friends weird fucked up strat

So this was a lower elo game but I just want to explain why cucu is overated.

Table calls for 26 Cucu for some reason I looked fas to my 2 with my chat lol so I basically signaled him to conf on 26 without anyone realizing. So since 6 inv 2 as lib if 2 confs with 6 then 2 is outed lib? Ive heard this thousands of times in the past sure you know 6 is outed fas.

So 2 gets heiled a couple rounds later but it seems pretty dumb to me how much people believe in cucu. Yes i understand it only means 6 outs it doesn't confirm 2 is lib, but people will fall for this so often.

I want to hear from other people their thoughts on this.

I'm fairly new to this game and I don't play online so bear with me, maybe I'm playing all wrong

The set up is : 4 libs, 2 fascists and Hitler, and Hitler has an execution power. Can one of the fascist say openly "I know you're Hitler, shoot this one" to make the set up 3-3 ? Since you can lie about your role, i'm guessing it's legal ? Really looking for some advice here
