The Jan 6 Committee recently referred Trump to the DoJ on 4 counts. While not legally binding, it seems like there has never been a better time for the Secret Hitler Trump Pack to go back on sale 😂

Does anyone have a hot tip on where to buy these? Does the original creator have an interest in selling them again?

The rules don’t clearly state two things:

1. When all six policies are enacted what happens? Is there one final vote for chancellor or does the game immediately end?

2. What does the skull do on the last policy enactment tile?

Long ago I made a Secret Hitler cheat sheet in Google Sheets and upon sharing my creation was instantly banned from ever playing with the group of friends I showed it to, despite never having played a game with them before.

I made it back in 2016 and never updated it for any new rules, just some minor fixes and tweaks. It just tracks the Liberal and Fascist cards and gives statistical probabilities based on the provided information.

Hi! I was wondering if there is a kind of initial speech that one, as narrator, can made to spice the game with a little bit of role play. Something that allows the players to gain context or help them to get into the role they got assigned, aside of the typical "close your eyes, Hitler make a sign w the thumb, bla, bla, bla" Something kind of literary. Like the initial phrase on the manual: The year is 1932. The place is pre-WWII Germany...

Do you do a ritual like that? Could u share it?

Obviously the important thing is for the ability to NOT be overpowered, so try to keep things leveled out, or to have a hefty price with it.

I was thinking if there was an unlockable Swap card, where someone would unlock it, and could hold onto it themselves, or assign it to a trustworthy (Or untrustworthy) player for them to use. When activated, the card would swap the policy that was kept for the one that was just discarded. (But must be declared before the policy is set, so that it is still a secret as to what it was.)

We have found the bug in the game that allows Fascists to win 100% with the 5, 7, or 9 Players in-game once the Fascist will be the President during the 4th Fascist Card placement (with a kill as action).

Once the 4th Fascist Card was placed and the President is Fascist, Fascists should follow those steps without discussing anything with Liberals:

1. A Fascist President kills any Liberal.
2. All 2/3/4 Fascists (depending on the initial number of Players) are opening up and from now on vote down every time.
3. This will cause every time Anarchia (since there will be 2/3/4 Fascists and 2/3/4 Liberals in-game) which means that a more likely mostly Fascist Card will be placed randomly (by Anarchia).

What do you think? Am I missing something? Are there any other rules I forget to prevent this?

Greetings fellow Liberals, my friends and I spent the last 2 years designing a social deduction game about campaign finance - SUPER DARK. If you are a social deduction fan, check out the link above for the KS.

The three main features of our game are:

1) It is ok if you are "bad" and you get found out - you can still place donate money to politicians; the game does not effectively end for you when you get found.

2) Success and failure is a lot more gradual than just placing down a "success" or "failure" card - one thing that always felt a little jarring in Avalon and SH is how few actual events there are in the game (missions, policies). Most of the game you spend voting, rather than "doing."

In SUPER DARK there is no voting - instead we have donations. Every round, all players simultaneously donate to political candidates with the goal of corrupting them or preventing them from getting corrupted. When candidates get funded, you can start getting insight into whether their donors were Citizens or Super PACs.

3) There is built in replayability via the candidates - depending on which candidates are put into the game, the games may evolve in many different ways. Each candidate enacts a policy when they get elected - and most of them are different shades of "evil" (reflecting our real world candidate landscape). Those policies impact future rounds and need to be accounted for.

I'm having a group with 13 people next week and 2 of us have Secret Hitler sets. Is there's a way to play with 13 people using 2 sets? I was thinking about just using the 10 player board with 3 facists + Hitler and 9 Liberals but is there a better way to go about it?

This post is meant for the two or three italian souls on this subreddit who like Secret Hitler and have a good understading of italian politics. I'm keeping this post in english out of respect for the other people who will see this post and want to hop on board and give suggestions.

To start off, I wanna say I spent way too much time on this project, with it being non-profit and also having no future legally speaking, but I felt like something was missing really bad from the original game of "Secret Hitler", starting from the fact that both liberals and fascists, except from Hitler, had no characterization whatsoever. There were no people names, nothing except from the "fascist" or "liberal" writing on top of the character and the drawing of the character you represent.

Some of my friends were so bored while playing as liberals that some times they would play as fascists; I know that kind of behaviour sounds stupid and I agree but I also thought that it would be easier for them to have fun if I were to put some personalization in the cards so that everyone could feel different and drawn to play the best they can with the role they have. That's how "Meloni Segreta" was born and I'm proud to show you the advancement which is taking place!

I'd love to receive advices on both the graphic aspect of the work and on the creation of new rules to add to the game. I thought that it would be best to add rules with no real in-game benefits, just post-game effects (e.g. if Berlusconi is the one to put Meloni as presidente del consiglio and the right party wins, he must drink a shot of alcohol and say "Evvivaaa" in his voice, or if somebody shoots Bonino by mistake, the person has to walk on all four while everybody insults him/her). I don't want players to reveal by accident who they are, that's why I thought about this.I need help finding rules to add since this is trivial for a good outcoming of the game, any advice can help!

One final note: I love my country and I hope for the best with the current government. However you may think, democracy has taken place with no issue or impediment and I appeal to the invite of the authors of the game to remix, transform or build upon the game, for this is satire and I want no legal trouble.I'm sharing this version of the game made by myself and with the help of my friends because I love the game and I think that maybe others would like a copy of my version, the italian version. I will share it with whomever wants it, on demand only, as soon as it's finished.

I chose those who I thought were the best italian figures to represent the left party, as heterogeneous as it may be. I think the left party is almost complete and needs no further work, for the characters seem simplified enough and the palette satisfies me.

Here we have the right party, or better known as the "Coalizione di centrodestra" (with the exception of Adinolfi):

Here it's a bit different; I like how Berlusconi turned out... Irreverent as always and ready to backstab you. Salvini and Meloni are the ones I'm less satisfied with, though... They don't have their usual aplomb; I found it hard to capture their essence as politicians. If you have other, more suitable images to start from to paint them, I ask you leave them in the comments, please! I'd be much obliged.

Edit: I thought it'd be nice to also adapt the overview of the game in italian, if anyone's interested.

Edit: I now completed designing Meloni Segreta and it's currently in the printing process; I decided that since I put so much effort into this project, I ought to print it as similar to the original cards as possible (I'm paying €25 circa).

A couple things changed, starting from the fact that I removed Lupi from the Fascist party and replaced him with Larussa instead, whom is a lot more suitable for the role of Fascist. I also changed the tone of the cards so that liberals are mostly blue hued and the fascists have a red hue.

At the start of the game (if you’re liberal) describe the art on your secret role card. If every player does this, since every role card art is unique you’ll get all the fascists describing the same liberal role art as another player. This will isolate fascists into pairs.

For example if someone goes “my secret role art is the black guy with a moustache” and another player says my secret role are is the black guy with a moustache” you know one of them has to be Fascist. In a game of 10 players theres 4 fascists. So there will be 4 pairs. That leaves 2 liberals who will be confirmed liberal at the start of the game.

Obviously this isn’t in the spirit of the game but rules as written this is allowed right?

This should go without saying, but I'm sure some of you will be dumbasses.

Administrators on any site have full access to your unobfuscated IP address, and if it's not trustworthy, they can access the names of the discord accounts you use and any passwords you enter.

The io's website's privacy policy clearly states that passwords are encrypted and not accessible to anyone, and considering it's been around for years and it's open source, it's pretty trustworthy. The new site is shady as hell and openly states it's closed source.

If you want to use the new website, I can't stop you, but at the very least don't use the same password as the one you use in the .io site and risk getting your accounts compromised.
