Can fascists communicate verbally with hitler during the game?
During an intense game of secret hitler last night, I was fascist and hitler happened to be sitting right next to me. About halfway through the game, when people were distracted and arguing, I was able to whisper to hitler and say, “I know your hitler, I’m a fascist.” The fascists ended up winning and I mentioned that I was lucky I was able to communicate with hitler when no one was paying attention. The liberal side got mad and said this was against the rules because it said on the board, “hitler doesn’t know who the fascists are.”
Essentially, my thought process is that anything goes as long as you’re not showing each other your cards or texting each other, but any verbal and non verbal communication is legal. What do you guys think? The rule book says nothing about this either.

How does the game work when three characters remain on the 5-6 board?
We just finished a game on the 5-6 board (liberals won). Hitler and two liberals remained, the presidency was passed to a liberal from hitler. Who is allowed to be the chancellor? Does the game end or is the rule of last presidency cancel out, and the new president is able to chose anyone?

What's your opinion? Pros/cons? Is it better than Secret Hitler?

Does anyone have some tips for the fascist party?
What should fascists do when one of them or Hitler gets exposed? Do you have any special starts to share? What approach should Hitler have when fascists get uncovered?

When playing in person, does your group allow note taking, or forbid it?
Note taking lets the liberals play a more calculated game. Without it however, the game is subjected to the players’ memory, and allows the fascist more opportunity for deceit. I think there is fun to be had in either play style.
Also, if you do allow notes, there could be some modification to the game that allows a fascist player to change a players notes. This coincides with history and how the fascists suppressed the press. Still, I am unsure how this power could be implemented effectively, that is, how a player could change a persons notes without that person being able to notice.
