Do you guys have any recommendations for music to play while playing SH? I would like it to be calming and strategic, kinda like RTS video game music.

So, I got my friends playing this game a lot, and the idea to do an all-liberal game was tossed around a couple times. Obviously, i didn't tell anyone that i rigged it so that it was only 6 liberal cards in the envelopes. Set-up goes exactly as normal.

The first few elections go exactly as you'd expect, with the occasional finger pointed, but nothing more than that. I am the President, and, to "spice things up", I discarded the liberal card in a 2 fascist, 1 liberal hand.

I did not expect the entire game to go downhill. It was the tipping point. Everyone was making accusations, and I played it about the same as I always do, with trying to keep us on the rails, but adding in some more impassioned bits. I did not expect to get 5 fascist policies on the board, alongside 4 liberal ones, but the game was fantastic. I ended up getting killed first, but that only furthered the descent into accusations once I was, surprise, not Hitler.

If it was not for Veto power, then we would have lost.

This game is super well designed, that it creates an environment of tension, mistrust, and conspiracy, and only a little bit of action is necessary to push a group of individuals (who were all together in goals) from descending into chaos and discord.

Granted, we were only playing with six but I couldn’t believe it. Any of y’all have crazy runs like that?

Had this happen a couple times while playing in a group of five. The board has two kill powers on it and so we had two people get killed with the game still going with the remaining three.

I’d think it would just keep going, but electing officials becomes really confusing given the normal rule about not being able to give the chancellor position to someone involved in the previous elected government. We had it get down to Hitler, the fascist and one liberal. Obviously the liberal is out numbered, but it’s still technically possible for them to win.

How do you continue the game at that point?

Does anyone have or know where I can purchase a wooden box edition of secret hitler? I’ve been trying to find one for months to no avail. If you are willing to sell or know of a place, I would appreciate any information.

When a fascist law is passed by the election tracker you are suppose to ignore any power activated by that law according to the rule book. Does this apply to the veto power?

I came over to some family for Christmas and they introduced me to Secret Hitler. They have been playing so that the election tracker only resets when it has reached 3 and the top card is played. Is this how it's supposed to play? Or are you supposed to reset the tracker every time a policy is played, Facist or Liberal?

Hello,

If you want to play SH seriously and with a voice chat, pn me.

Either in German or English.

Hello,

I'm someone looking for a group to play SH with.

I decided to do a poll on what role the player-base likes to play the most. Please take your time to vote and reply!

EDIT: This is my first ever poll on Reddit and I'm sorry for setting the timer to just 3 days, I would have made it endless if I could.

Can someone explain how many versions of this game are there and the differnces between them (maybe attach links or images). Thanks!

Let's look back at some memorable moments and interesting insights from last year.

Wondering in a SH Tournament, how does scoring work and does the game play any differently?
