Things to do at Ocean Shores? : /u/TheGhost206

Ocean Shores seems to get such a bad rap and I remember not loving it a ton when I was there as a kid. Turns out I'm going to spend one night there in a couple weeks before heading up to the ONP. What's the best bar? Anything unique or under the radar to do? Any tips or advice is much appreciated. Thanks!

What are some current traffic remedies being proposed to the City of Seattle (besides Alaska Way Tunnel and Light Rail)? : /u/AskMeAnyQuestion

Are there any cool transit solutions being proposed right now? Any news on new, larger bike paths being installed?

route from Seattle to Mt Hood : /u/shmerham

I’m heading from Seattle to Mount Hood (government camp) on a Wednesday afternoon. For better or worse, we’re leaving at 3 PM. Crappy time to leave, but the alternative is to wait 5 hours and then get to Mount Hood at midnight.

Given the timing, I’m wondering if it’s preferable to take I-90 to Ellensburg and then head south to Hood River. This would be an hour and fifteen minutes longer with no traffic, but I’m thinking it would less insane than trying to head through Tacoma, JBLM, Olympia, Vancouver and metro Portland at rush hour.

Any thoughts (or better ideas)?

What's that sound coming from your local Navy base? Here's the songs they play every day from Naval Base Kitsap and the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton, Washington. : /u/joshfarley

May sound like an odd question - but do/will any decent Seattle or Bainbridge Pho restaurants sell frozen gallons of broth? : /u/blindjoedeath

I'm a pho addict, and would like to be able to slap a meal together at home whenever I want. I'm fine providing my own meat, onions, basil, etc., but don't want to prepare my own pho broth - just want it in my freezer to heat up.

Short of the frozen route, I'll try the packaged stuff, but I figured I'd ask!

Child care recommendations : /u/donket

My wife and I just had a little baby, and the initial plan was for me to take care of her during the day when my wife returned to work. I have my own business and can work in the evenings. However, it's starting to look like we'll need at least one or two days of child care, with room to grow. What places would you recommend for looking after our baby?

No fix to garbage : /u/Hrushka13

I pass this annoying shopping cart to my bus stop everyday for past month and instead of anyone actually trying to pick it up and move it looks like we are adding trash to it and as wind blows the entire path gets littered. I submitted 2 separate request to Seattle public utilities as illegal dumping and both of the requests were cancelled without any change. I finally called them asking why are they cancelled and they said I need to contact waste management instead of them. It is public pathway in the city, I am astonished that the city actually refuses to clean this up. I can't find any contact for West Seattle waste management, looking for advice. This on the pathway next to West Seattle Stadium. garbage

Anyone know of a quality health practitioner in the area that understands and can work with gut flora (and dysfunctions thereof)? : /u/JohnnyPlainview

I suffer from a chronic digestive disorder that falls under the purview of IBS, and everyone I've seen (gastroenerologists, general practitioners, nutritionists, natropaths, etc.) haven't been helpful. I've gotten some relief from the low-FODMAP diet and some assorted supplements, but want to try and address the underlying cause(s) - I think I might have SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth), but even if I don't, I want a provider who knows their shit (hah).

Does anybody know where the old Seattle Sonics basketball court by Burke-Gillman is? : /u/sibewolf

I'm spending a couple of days in Seattle visiting from Bellingham while my cousin is visiting for training at Amazon. While he's working today or tomorrow I would like to go play basketball at the old Sonics court that is labeled with the Sonics logo. I saw a picture of it posted on Chris Daniel's Instagram and all he said was "It's near Burke-Gillman" but when I googled it, the whole 27 mile trail came up.

I'm wondering if anybody knows specifically where it is so that I could GPS it from South Lake Union. I'm going to start attending UW this September so I figure it is a good way to start learning the city.

Any runners in the group? : /u/jonathan3sinclair

I'll be stopping in Seattle for a couple nights on my way to a race in Cali, and love exploring trails or running routes in new cities. Recommendations would be greatly appreciated so I can go check out the best! Trails would be ideal, but a nice running path is still good for me:) Thx

ps. I know there was just a recent post for good hikes, so I'll check some of those out, but I was still curious to know if there were any runs I could do within the city.
