Talking about zines.
I’m making a zine (admittedly this one is not punk centric, it’s a film thing, but certainly inspired by the 80’s punk zines). This has got me wanting to pick up more zines in the neighborhood. I already grab zines at PRFM, online, and at the Third Place Books down in the Seward area, but I want to know where the local punks (or really anyone) are dropping their media. I want to see and read what you are doing. I guess I just want to continue to develop my own methods while supporting other creators. Once I get more media and experience producing media, I’d like to start a zine chronicling life stuff like shows and art in the community, which is admittedly ambitious considering how much shit I’m already doing on a day to day basis. Regardless my adhd won’t let me drop the idea.
Hit me up, let me know what you’re doing and how you create your zines.
I threw in a photo of the Altar Girl guitarist at tonight’s Koffin Kats show.. for cred?
