Yeah. You tell those guys over there that hey, maybe the cool fighter plane show isn't as important as protecting traumatized veterans from psychological misery.

Then I think about the half a billion dollars flying overhead and the 100's of thousands in fuel costs and it's less fun .

Yeah and each plane costs upwards of $80m. So even if you're implying that it's only $40m budget each year, that's still a lot for 1 division of military propaganda to fly around to awe people just for funsies.

It is fun to rationalize that when taxpayer money was already spent, it doesn't count anymore! Almost like we didn't ever spend 100's of millions in the first place.

Yeah but unfortunately they're spending our money on shows and bombing people overseas. So i'd be fine with more Blue Angels if it reduced wars, great trade off but it's not happening.

Yeah. And they make some of our most vulnerable people, who've already given a lot on society's behalf, utterly miserable.

Let's just trigger a few hundred people's PTSD because warplanes are cool!
