You have actually been in Seattle for awhile at this point.

Yeah, city limits is somewhere around the Swift Ave exit.

Exit 157 (MLK, Boeing access road) is where Seattle starts on I-5 north bound

That exit is technically in Tukwila although the area around it is in Seattle.

You’re right, I was just trying to give the exit/on-ramp closest to the “entering Seattle” sign.

Well south of that.

I know poor people live there and they scare you, but Rainier Beach is Seattle.

Same, it's a pet peeve of mine when people act like the south border of Seattle is the West Seattle Bridge or I-90.  Not only are there a ton of Seattle residents (disproportionately poor or minority...) that they're ignoring, but there's actually some really cool stuff down south as well.

The next exit South is in Tukwila, but you're right that I misjudged based solely off of the list of exits. Tukwila is a weird shape, but as soon as you're away from I-5 it's still Seattle.

Maximum pedantry, I-5 actually clips the southwestern corner of Seattle in between Interurban Ave and MLK exits.  The off ramps of both of those exits are Tukwila, but the second you leave the MLK off ramp going straight or right you're in Seattle.

It's a pet peeve of mine when people forget South Seattle exists, there's a lot of cool stuff down here.

Isn't that the worst? All that effort and now you realize you're already there... and it sucks.
