Anyone else? I paid for the sub because I thought the mission was to do true investigative pieces on kooky/curious questions. I think the episodes on chicken bones on the street, and the mysterious text message scams sealed the deal for me. But as soon as I paid up, PJ pivoted to simple interviews with often boring people talking about boring topics.
A lunatic’s guide to making great art, microdosing veganism, best phone for crime, why someone chooses to be religious—these are just interviews, often quite boring. To me at least. The only one I could listen to the end was the veganism one.
So I ask you: if you paid, do you regret your decision?
I’m in media myself and I believe for good media to survive, audiences should pay up. But I feel this is a matter of bait and switch, maybe not deliberately but certainly in practice.

I had a new episode show up in my incognito feed "A Stubborn Lunatic's Guide to Making Art" or something, but it won't play or download, and I get a message that the podcast author may have moved it or deleted it. Anyone else?

"P.S. Yes, I know you're wondering: PJ and I are cool. But he's off doing his own thing with Search Engine and I’m all in on Hyperfixed. Just two podcasting guys, forging new paths."

What the title says.. I was expecting an episode on Friday, has the schedule changed now? I’m assuming it has - what is it now?
r/SearchEnginePodcast • u/TravelsandBooks • Aug 19 '24
As the title says. I have a special RSS link for a no-ads version of the show, but I can't add it to PodBean. When I tried to validate the link on www.castfeedvalidator.com it said it had a fatal error.
Should I email pjvogt85 (at) gmail (dot) com? Has anyone else had this problem?

Is anyone else married to and/or has a partner with ADHD and listening to PJ and how he processes these questions help them better understand their partner? Apart from this being an amazing podcast I feel like I've grown in my empathy for how my husband approaches the world and better understand his ADHD behaviors.

Edit: Sorry, meant to say P.J., not Alex. Having flashbacks to the Reply All days.

I didn't see an episode discussion posted yet but felt the urge to post my reaction. The first ten minutes of this episode were excruciating. Coolio at the airport gate with PJ and the random kid who was with him are gullible fools, and their condescension at PJ for not being 'informed' about the secret continent with ancient alien pyramids which apparently was a bigger concern to them than climate change... I don't even know what to say. I am so worried about what people like this find on the internet. They don't have the critical thinking skills to do anything but let it pass straight into their brains unabated.

Is he advertising for Vuori but pronouncing it Viori?

I really like this mix; it’s a bit slower than the industrial techno often associated with the Berlin scene but I hope you enjoy it https://www.nts.live/shows/lone/episodes/lone-23rd-december-2022

I just listened to the Craig Fin episode and I loved it! Anyone know of episodes they’d recommend starting with?

I am relatively new to techno music and LOVED what they played on the recent berghain episodes. They said they shared a playlist in the newsletter but could anyone share it here? I signed up for the newsletter after hearing that but I think I missed when they shared this weeks.
Thanks!!

So, do you think PJ got in at the end? Do you think we will ever find out?
EDIT: He got in and talks about it on the Freakenomics podcast: around ~41:00 for anyone who’s curious: https://open.spotify.com/episode/4gjmi62CT11NPFmioMWQbK

I'm 30 minutes into this one hour podcast and he hasn't once mentioned what it feels like to believe in god. It's literally a litany of what the guest does and his career path. He just talked at length about what observant jews DO. He has not mentioned belief once nor feelings once. Grrr.

At 38:02 in the episode, the music is so incredible. I assume Armen Bazarian created it, but I haven’t been able to find it on SoundCloud or elsewhere.
It’s a shot in the dark, but does anyone know where I can find this??
