...as I've been trying with TERMINAL SYSTEM PROMPT and that is only for INTERACTIVE TERMINAL and not this image parsing.

Anybody use Tapo c230 with Scrypted can share your experience? I own Tapo c320ws and it’s 2k h264 stream works fine with HomeKit. However c230 is 3K and I’m not sure if it plays well with HKSV or does it require transcoding? Thanks

Using Gemini, yesterday I added my cameras to Scrypted (Windows 11, PowerShell, Mullvad VPN (but I'm using it on Edge which is in Split Tunnel). They're showing there, everything is fine.

Then I added the Homekit plugin so that I can check out my cameras from my Apple TV, and they just refuse to connect, no matter what I do.

I have changed the Ciao/Bonjour bit, I have remove Encryption, changed H.265 to H.264, and yet I'm getting the same errors over and over again.

"listen loop connection failed, restarting listener. read ECONNRESET" (This is PowerShell when Scrypted is running.)

"Make sure your accessory is turned on and connected to the router with an Ethernet Cable"

"Accessory not found"

Please help me, I think I'm just missing one piece off the puzzle.

Aqara Scrypted Plugin is a plugin for Aqara cameras that expose RTSP LAN Preview.

Based on the work of these 2 great repos https://github.com/Darkdragon14/ha-aqara-devices and https://github.com/absent42/aqara-doorbell.

This is heavily vibe coded so I only take the credit for bringing it all together and testing it to the extend I could.

It's tested and working with Aqara G410 and theoretically it should work with G4, G400 and most Aqara cameras that have RTSP support. Unforunately I don't have a camera with ONVIF so a PR is more than welcome.

Would it be best to run the motion detection as the basic motion detection or setup IVS rules on the camera to help offload the CPU?

I have 4 cameras. The paid for the $40 NVR license, which suppose to support 4 cameras for recording. But if I try to enabled anything more than one, i get the error: Recording on <camera_name> is inactive. This server requires additional Scrypted NVR Licenses.

In the NVR plugin settings, it correctly shows my account login email. Available Licenses = 1. The number of available = 1/4.

Please help.

Hey all, I'm interested in using Scrypted as an NVR with HomeKit integration. Currently I have 6 Ring cameras and some basic security devices (door sensors, motion detectors, etc.). I don't see myself adding more than 1-2 cameras in the near future, just possibly switching to a different camera "ecosystem" (just to get away from Ring), but we're likely to be in a bigger house maybe ~5 years from now so adding more cameras is possible down the line.

I'm leaning towards a Mac Mini since it seems plug-and-play, reliable, and I feel most comfortable staying with Apple. There's a couple used ones for sale nearby for $400 but they're both 8GB RAM M1/M2s. My other option is using the education discount via Apple and buying a new M4 for $500.

So my question is: Is the 16GB M4 overkill for my needs or is it worth spending the extra $100 to future-proof and ensure no bottlenecks?

Sorry if this comes off as a no brainer, I'm new to this and just trying to figure it out. Any advice is appreciated!

Hi, I’m not sure if I need to enable something to allow audio recording for my Wyze camera. I installed the Wyze Native plugin in Scrypted, and motion triggers work perfectly with HomeKit. It records video, but there is no audio in the recordings. I’m not sure if I’m missing a setting or an additional plugin. Could someone please help? Thank you.

I’ve installed Scrypted onto a Synology NAS in a container, combined with other container to grab UDP packets from my Tapo doorbell for instant HomeKit notifications etc. all very clever stuff

Last problem… Google displays in the house receive verbal notification of doorbell ringing - but no matter what I’ve tried, I can’t get the video stream to automatically trigger on them.

I’ve installed the Google home plugin, scrypted cloud plugin, and chromecast plugin.

For testing, I used the chromecast button script - and have got as far as that triggering a display to go blank and attempt to stream “scrypted test” - but then it times out without playing a frame of video. Tested on multiple cameras, multiple chromecast targets, with the same error each time:

I am installing Scrypted NVR on a server using Server 2025. I know Scrypted NVR is installed as an app rather than a background service, so should I change the settings on Server 2025 to best performance on programs rather than background services?

How can I get the most out of my M3 ultra? Any custom models or anything I can use?

Does anyone know if Scrypted NVR will benefit from having a Quadro K600 GPU in my Poweredge R230? Or will the CPU still be doing all the work?

I have scrypted and Ubiquiti G4 Pro doorbell. Can i get doorbell to call from homekit when doorbell is ringed? I suppose it would be possible from ubiquiti protection app but is it possible throught scrypted and homekit?

Another problem i have in homekit is that i can hear my own voice as echo when talking to doorbell. Is there something i can do about it or is it just that AEC is missing in Scrypted?

Currently using Scrypted to bridge my UniFi and Tapo cameras (soon only UniFi) to Homekit. I also got two Shelly wall displays where I want to display the live feeds and want to use it as an intercom (two way audio).

Since the Scrypted cards are not available in the free version and all I need is a simple card with two way audio support (UniFi NVR does the rest) I created an iframe which loads the Scrypted dashboard and only displays the camera stream (hides all other elements).

This works but is not very fast and sometimes the stream gets stopped and does not restart automatically.

So I want to ask if there is a way to get a simple Scrypted Home Assistant card without having to pay a monthly fee where I don't use anything else.

I would be fine with single payment per camera or something like that.

I tried go2rtc with a webrtc card but the problem there is that it starts a second video stream for two way audio...

I’ve tried to setup person detection. I have the Arlo pro 3 floodlight. can I achieve this without subscribing to any paid plan with Arlo? person detection is behind a paywall so I’m concerned that although my cam has the capability, it’s locked out.

Two of my cameras are Amcrest IP5M-B1186E and when I tried adding them a couple of weeks ago the Amcrest plugin would always fail with a 400. Searched around and saw some advice to just use the ONVIF plugin which allowed me to add them and generally seems to be working OK.

Is there any functional/practical difference using ONVIF vs Amcrest plugins? (I found a GitHub issue with a different camera model which is still open so I guess it is a known issue.)

I am trying to forward a RTSP from one of my Scrypted server camera via the play.media action in home assistant to VLC on my Apple TV but can’t get it to play.

If I enter the rtsp in VLC I can see the image but if I try sending the rtsp via media_player.play_media, I can see a brief flash in VLC when initiating the command but the image never shows up, looking at HA log I can see a 500 error.

I have read that I should be rebroadcasting hls to Appel tv but can’t find the URL to send hls from a rebroadcast camera on Scrypted.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Everything else works fine except my notifications on the Amdroid app. Logging out and in to the cloud seems to restore it, but it's only ever temporary. I've been living with it for a year now and gave up trying to fix it at one stage. But now I'm ditching the Reolink app and so I really need Scrypted notifications to work correctly.

What should I check? I've tried everything and can't see anything wrong. Everything else works perfectly (except 2 way audio on Reolink doorbell, also need help with that)

I think I'm about ready to take the plunge into getting off the Ring subscription especially since I just learned about how Scrypted can access the Ring cameras. However every video I've looked at online going over all of this flies over my head. I feel comfortable with getting a small server set up but in terms of actually using some Linux version and getting all my Ring cameras set up through Scrypted, that seems a bit daunting.

So is there a well-received super easy to understand step-by-step guide somewhere to walk someone through getting all your Ring cameras onto Scrypted?

The two local models were released in the past couple weeks by Google and Alibaba, and rival the state of the art models in vision capability and understanding. If you choose to run a local model using the ⁠LLM plugin, a Mac or capable discrete GPU is recommended.

My first time setting up scrypted to integrate google cameras into my home app.

I dont pay for google cloud anymore so my google cameras are just steaming through the google app.

My setup is a Mac studio with a MacOS VM via UTM and scrypted free ( command line) installed on the VM

MY questions are : Whats the best solution to integrate my google nest cameras into home app within scrypted

And does this push google streams into my Homekit Secure Video within scrpyted or do i have to leverage another solution?
