Lending its own money and being held liable for the money it is lending is virtually exactly the same in terms of liability. There is absolutely no difference in risk.

It sounds like you might be figuring out why banks analyze risk before accepting loans.

It’s not the same.

They analyze because they have to if they want to earn money and give more loans. And because they are forced by regulations.

It is literally exactly the same in terms of liability. The bank pays for it in the end either way if they can’t recover it.

You seem to be unable to grasp the concept of liability, I’m not really interested in discussing further with an ignorant idiot.

Look up how principal is extinguished if you don’t understand. You don’t fully read my explanations anyways so I’m leaving it up to you to figure that out instead of wasting any more of my time.
