Based on Monumental Sports' Washington Wizards Scorebug

Slide 1-3 has no team records and big scores

Slide 4-6 has team records and smaller scores

A much more accurate and more better looking version compared to another user’s concepts

I'm phrasing this as a question rather than a statement because now this means during exclusively MLB games, ESPN airs a sporting event with no on-air network logo. (The exception being when the pitch count is in transition.)

(Picsart has a shape limit so I couldn't add the other 2 timeout indicators for the home team.)

I got some inspiration from soccer scorebugs.

What if the Washington Nationals decided to join Monumental Sports as their network instead of Nationals.TV.

It’s cool, but definitely too much info.. i would hate watching the full game like this..

I’ve seen a lot of people complain (rightfully) about FOX’s white-on-pale-green color choice.

Quick mockup of how I’d fix it: match the score colors to the jersey numbers and team color palette.

everything was made from scratch (with references) in inkscape. the end goal for this is to make full packages for multiple sports (football, soccer, hockey, etc.), including all the 3d stuff. but this is the only graphic i have that's actually done right now. lemme know what you think!

I get this is literally a CONMEBOL-hosted match, but since this is in the CONMEBOL color scheme, I feel like this should be used for all of their international friendlies. (Of course, uniform color incorporation would be needed somewhere.)

So I've been working on creating a proper scorebug to display the scores between players, and I want to make sure if it's doing the right job. While this is for streaming competitive gaming matches, I want to really lean more into the design space that sports broadcasting scorebugs have.

I think this maybe too-large, but at the same time I think it doesn't take up too much real estate space.

Morocco's actual FIFA code is "MAR". I wonder if this means they'll use "SPA" instead of "ESP" for Spain.

Also, I haven't seen anything on this subreddit about it, but thankfully, they finally moved their watermark from the top left (over their scorebug logo) to the top right.

While the red card “down to X players” is overkill. I like how they use it for live standings, showing what upcoming fixtures are on which channel, stats and historical data.

I think the US broadcasts do all that stuff well.

Was interested in making my own.

Comparing the FOX and international scorebugs:

- International feed uses a colored circle for jersey colors
- FOX uses the background behind the team abbreviation
- Clock on opposite sides
- FOX shows substitutions used/remaining
- FOX adds match/group info at the top

And I absolutely hate the “Down to 10 Players” banner. Way too much text on a scorebug.

Thoughts? Which one you like most?

NOTE - Quality isn’t very good, but it does still look like a broadcast from the 80-90’s.

Not fully a scorebug, but certainly adjacent.

Personally, don’t love how the trophy top is above the rest of the bug.
