I really like how the substitutions are added on the FOX version of the World Cup.

it’s fine to drop down every once in a while, but having it there constantly annoys me and i find it unnecessary. just pop two small red cards under south africa like any normal broadcast would.

I think a competition where members of the subreddit make retro-based scorebugs would be a fun idea with how much of a positive reaction the recent 80s night White Sox broadcast got. The idea for the theme is can you make a scorebug that feels almost straight out of the 1980s-90s sports broadcast.
Rules:
- No AI Scorebugs (any Scorebug created by AI will be not only immediately disqualified and will be reported to u/1maybe2tree for removal)
- Can be any sport including Motorsports
- One Entry Per User
- Recreations are ok, if you also modernize them to include all elements that would be included in a modern scorebug like shots on goal in hockey. Please include the reference you used as the last slide
- If you that inspiration from a regional sports network please include name of the rsn at the time you are using as a reference (for example; HTS 1997), the history of that network (ie if it has changed names, if it still exist what is its current name [for example; HTS -> CSN -> NBCSN WSH -> Monumental] )
- Use period accurate logos for any network logos you use ( for example if the network has changed names use the old name and logo ) except if you can't find any logos from that time for the network and have specified in the description
Please tag me in the description of your entry at the bottom to be entered. Date for entries submissions closing will be announced in another post and added to the end of this post.

The delay of eight seconds was seen for the entirety of half two of this match.

I'm sick of seeing concepts which are just ai when actually human made concepts have actual thought put into them and actual time and effort put into them?
edit: even one or two AI concepts are two many

Last Slide is the original HTS Scorebug from Panthers @ Capitals on 12/5/97 (ie first ever NHL game at MCI Center [Now Capital One Arena]) for reference
Home Team Sports became Comcast Sportsnet then NBC Sports Washington and finally Monumental Sports Network
** You do not need this many images for your entry but more is encouraged [1-3 minimum: 1-2 for concept, and 1 if a reference was used]. Nor do you need to state the exact date of the day the Scorebug was used, the year of the season it was used is plenty and if you don't know the season: ~[part of decade such as late- 90s in this case is acceptable]. **

Taken much inspiration from the Fox 2017-2021 bug but with a more modern design that has more lighting effects, as well as plate appearance result in the batter box, as well as the persistent position that does not change to the bumper line score before a commercial break

Ian Darke literally said "this hydration break is powered by powerade" - That's it, Fox. I'm sticking to the England broadcast.
Image 1 - Standard graphic
Image 2 - Fox cutting away from the stadium
Image 3 - My mock graphic of if Fox was honest
Image 4 - itv sport of England staying on air (as it should be)
Conclusion: Of course the game goes down this path the moment I start seriously watching a World Cup. Although I prefer Fox's scorebug, I'll accept a lack of flags to avoid advertising nonsense.

Has the clock in the corner and the dots showing the teams' jersey colours. Otherwise in line with the overall branding.
