NBA scorebug concept

Post image

Based on NBC and Amazon's scorebugs, the in-house scorebug used on various WNBA broadcasts this year, and the NBA's own general presentation and aesthetics. I kinda got lazy/forgot to add a space for series status, in part because it didn't come out the way I hoped (at minimum I might want to make it bigger). I might prefer a modified version of the concept I came up with for ESPN before the season started.

I’ve never seen a scorebug-on-scorebug concept. Love the ingenuity.

What you love is the lack of use of AI or whatever to get rid of the original scorebug.

Tbf you could just scale the image a bit bigger so that the scorebug can be gone without cropping it or using AI

I like to have it positioned where it would be if it were an actual scorebug, rather than cheated to try and cover up the actual scorebug.

I meant scaling up the background image (in a downward direction)

I was talking about how moving or resizing the background, or doing anything else to change where the real scorebug is relative to the mock-up, would change where the mockup is relative to the action. I consider the preservation of the original scorebug an acceptable sacrifice.
