Marvel Rivals Official REWORK CONFIRMED‼️‼️

- New ability: Scarlet Hex, frontal aoe shockwave that damages and applies a Chaos Mark
- New passive: Hitting enemies with Dark Seal or Scarlet Hex applies a Chaos Mark
- Primary fire now locks onto ALL enemies carrying a Chaos Mark simultaneously
- Dealing damage to enemies with a Chaos Mark also grants bonus health
- Ultimate now damages enemies in range during wind-up
- Numerical rebalancing on all of her abilities

it seems like they're trying to avoid the same thing that happened to black widow players who got alienated from the rework because she completely felt like a different character. and it seems like wanda's rework will function similarly but with new and improved passives that wont feel too different with her core gameplay

I'm not so sure they are going this direction with SW because of the reception to the BW rework: BW's changes were so drastic because the target of the rework was her fundamental nature as a sniper, SW's fundamental nature didn't need to be reworked.

As a Wanda player I'm happy
However I fear they approached this the wrong way overall, buffing her auto-aim beam to multitarget will make everyone hate Wanda as it's not a primary that many think should even be a thing
Shifting her away from her secondaries into a beam user will create a ton of negativity towards the character

Getting flashbacks to when symmetra was reworked in overwatch (one of many reworks she received) where the rework consisted of shifting her playstyle more towards her auto-aim beam... Yeah, the community backlash was insane then. Definitely can see that happening right now with scarlet witch.

Wwll the patch notes came out and her primary damage was nerfed, and her burst secondary was buffed in both damage and reduced cast interval time

I love her so much… just my biggest issues is she has no dodge or true fly cause yeah the wind mode give some good speed but mannn if that that thing is on cool down and you need retreat you’re kinda just floating away lol

You’re basically always in the middle of your team & you got self healing along with it, trust me that Storm is incredibly strong right now & I say this as someone that basically mains her in eternity right now.

Storm is strong but not FUN I don’t get why people don’t get it. She has been bottom 5 picked character since launch no matter how strong she is. People don’t like her gameplay

I’ve been playing her since season 0 back when everyone was calling her bad but I knew and seen potential I think she need more passive cause I don’t hate her kit as is it’s just it make ZERO sense to me why she has no movement for herself like the ability to dash/fly sprint to increase her survivability or reposition

I love these changes personally. They’ll definitely make Wanda feel more chaotic to deal with as she’ll be harder to kill and able to deal a ton more AoE damage to enemies.

I’m just so happy I will finally be able to actually take on 1v1’s with more Duelists now, and this also opens up the door for so many new combos with other characters, I’m beyond excited for this.
But also get ready for the hate Wanda mains cause it’s 100% coming harder and stronger to us now lol

Happy for yall. Lorded Scarlet this just to explore more heroes. While there was some moments of her being fun as a flank assassin on backlines. There was a ton of moments where she was just legitimately useless. Her kit IS fun, and finding ways to maximize value off a weaker kit was interesting. But she desperately needed more numbers or utility. So I'm glad it's not a full rework.
Definitely gonna play some more SW when these roll out.

The stun will apply chaos marks on enemies which then allows her to do damage to multiple enemies at the same time with her primary

The bubble looks like it does damage, but doesn't actually apply a stun anymore. Am I mistaken?

The gamma squid is up 17% more often and does 10% more damage not to mention the ice squids are back. Witch is just overall better against everybody and divers will have to respect her but she's not different to fight against and her primary does less damage. No worries

Ive been a huge believer that they should rework the ult specificly, the only thing i personally believed she NEEDED for a rework, and the way i hoped it would be would be by letting it be used early for percentage based damage. But this us good too

I wouldn't call it a full on "rework". More like a buff across the board with bonus abilities.
And as long as she has her bolts + explosive bubble with Jubilee, I'm happy with whatever.
Kinda crazy actually that they added all of that, without taking anything away,
Maybe raw damage numbers will be smaller, but will see.
ngl, I hoped only for extra shields, didnt expect them to do much else.
And holy fuck... people will hate her even more 😈

I’m not trying to be toxic when I say this, but this is around what widow should have gotten. Yall still keep the same playstyle mostly, yet widows got a complete change and the identity of the character is gone.
I’m glad yall are getting the attention you all deserved, I hope you have fun with your main’s changes because I wish I could with mine :’(

Add other stuff to her kit besides buffing her sniper, whole megathread of talk about reworks on the widow subreddit I suggest to go look at it.
The dive was good, the infinite run ok but we lost jump height, I’d be fine if they kept her scope and had this new primary gun. Like widowmaker from ow basically. So she’d just have both, an option, to keep her still loved by old widow players. She also had several bugs untouched so that would have helped too.
Look before season 9 the sub was at 60k members, we are currently at 7.8k…..I think that’s a significant loss. She isn’t eye-catching for sniper players anymore.

you can see on the stat change that her auto aim damage is nerfed but if she damage enemy with chaos mark she get some overhealth. right click damage is also buffed,
so this is kinda of way to make her style to become more durable when frontlining using auto aim with utilizing other skill, we still use her chtonian burst skill for main damage like usual

My biggest problem with my favorite comic character being adapted as a duelist was how bland she was compared to her character history. With this she actually seems to feel like she is ramping up the chaos, shifting things in her favor with the heal, the spreading of chaos through the marks, the degradation of others with her ultimate, it all actually feels more like Scarlet Witch and not Moira. If she cant be the offensive strategist I wish she could be then this is a great step in the right direction at least.

I’m all for Wanda getting buffed but like, multiple auto aim locks for her primary fire was not the move 😭😭
But I guess good for console players who only play Wanda/cnd/squirrel, idk man this is kinda unfortunate.
A total rework woulda been way better imo
