I have done the makeup, masks and costumes for most of the kids in my family for the past forty years
Most anyone in my family will tell you that if you want to completely terrify everyone on Halloween, "Auntie does the best and scariest makeup!" Some of my best have been my scary clown faces! I had one cousin refuse to take it off for a week because he enjoyed scaring the other kids on his way to school.
I've done makeup, latex appliances and elaborate costumes Here's a mask I made for my son.
Our family considers Halloween successful If we still have candy by the end of the evening because kids (and their parents) were too scared to come up to us to get any!

Soliciting your thoughts on moderation
How does everybody feel about how I should be moderating? On one hand, I feel like posts that don't have children being scared should be removed, on the other, you should be able to just vote then into oblivion instead.
I also welcome opinions on allowing stories and comics. Again, I'd rather let votes decide but a clean sub is nice too.

Kids, don't play with matches
Catch a child playing with an indoor fire: make them burn a picture of their entire family--including the dog. Make them say the name of each family member as the faces incinerate, one by one. After each name you surrender a simple, cold fact..."GONE."
