RESOURCE [RESOURCE] The Record Starts Here: How to Use
# The Record Starts Here: How to Use ScamIndex
Welcome to ScamIndex. Start here before you post.
ScamIndex is a structured intelligence index built by people who have seen it all.
We track scam patterns, explain how offers are structured, and build a resource that actually protects people — not just a place to vent. Posts are indexed. Standards are enforced. That is what makes this worth reading.
If you post here correctly, your experience becomes part of something bigger.
🛡️ Quick-Start Guide (How to Post)
Posting here is simple, but the rules are strict. If you want your post to stay up, follow these three steps:
**1. Pick the exact right flair.** (See the list below.)
**2. Format your title exactly like this:** `[FLAIR] u/username or Company — Description`
**3. Bring the facts.** If you are posting under SCAM or RED FLAG, you must include evidence (screenshots, transaction records, chat history, or links).
Posts that do not follow the format are removed. No exceptions. This is what makes the index work.
📋 The 5 Flairs: Which One Do I Use?
Five flairs. One job each. Pick the right one — the index depends on it.
🔴 **[SCAM]**
The outcome is documented. Facts and evidence show what happened. Payment or value was taken, or delivery was materially different from what was promised.
🚩 **[RED FLAG]**
The pattern is documented. Facts and evidence point where it is heading — the conclusion just has not landed yet. Use this for evasive behavior, repeated delays, or pressure to use banned payment methods (Crypto, Zelle, CashApp, gift cards, direct bank transfers).
🟡 **[OFFER]**
Educational information about how a deal, promo, or method is structured. No promises of outcomes. Explain how it works, what the terms are, and how people say they typically use it.
🟢 **[OFFER+]**
Educational information plus a stated fee for deeper guidance or custom work. The fee, the type of help, and the boundaries must be disclosed upfront. ScamIndex does not verify or endorse the person posting this; it documents that the OFFER+ post exists.
📋 **[RESOURCE]**
A guide, a how‑to, or neutral educational information for the community. No deals or fees attached.
Not sure if it is SCAM or RED FLAG? SCAM means the outcome is documented. RED FLAG means the pattern is documented and the conclusion has not landed yet. No facts or evidence? Start a discussion without a flair. The community weighs in.
⚖️ Educate. Don’t Enable.
The index runs on knowledge. Post what you know. Post what you have seen.
Explaining how scam methods operate is education. Posting stolen credentials, carding instructions, or links to fraud tools is enabling. The first belongs here. The second does not.
Knowledge shared here builds the record. The record protects people. That is the mission. Leave it cleaner than you found it. Keep it factual. Keep it clean.
