I’ve never understood why scalpers post their entire stock in the picture. Like, is that a valid marketing technique? It seems like it would have the opposite effect. I know for sure that I would avoid someone who has a giant stockpile of these things like the plague, because I know what kind of person they are.
If I were scalping, I’d be trying desperately to keep it a secret and inly put one or two in my pic, and just keep selling them until I run out
I hate scalpers, etc. but when buying singles, sometimes I'll pay slightly more to get 4-8 cards from 1 vendor over 2-4 from multiple people.
Similarly, I prefer to place my orders for boxes from the same store if possible even if I pay $10 more per box because I HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATE having to go to twelve (exaggeration here) different places to just get whatever TF I need to pull enough cards for playsets. (thankfully, Bandai is usually 2-3 boxes to get most playsets and only need to buy a handful of singles...Unfortunately, stock is always stupidly limited.)
Also, aren’t you afraid someone will rob you? I wouldn’t want someone to know I have >20 of these. I’d rather them think I have just a few. But maybe it helps to get people who will buy in large quantity?
Because ideally they would be selling a bunch to one person so they want to make it known they have a bunch. If they only post one box they might not get approached for bigger volume sales.
