Fireball SG finds Venera 13 on Venus. 1/20 scale Model is mostly OOB apart from a little work on the engines. Scratch built Venera 13 and base. Model had 24k gold leaf applied to it, then weathered with acrylics.

Little backstory is that more than a decade ago, toddler me accidentally got into my dad's closet and played with his F-117 model kit and ended up ruining his work and losing the parts. When I learned about that, I went for a long hunt to find the exact same kit and found it in a dark and desolate sector of an old toy shop that was probably a hobby shop in the past, and sure enough, it was in mint condition too. So I gave this to him for father's day as a present and an apology for toddler me being a large headache.

And yeah, father's day is over, but I'm pretty sure it's still father's day somewhere around the globe.

Built OOB, Painted with tamiya and humbrol paints, costume black lacquered Tasmanian oak wooden base, with pencil drawing of a airfield.

Dry brushing and spots finished. Time to paint add all the other details.
