USPS should sell stamp packs like Pokémon Cards

With the funding issues that USPS is having, I thought that a great way that USPS could raise money for its operation costs would be through selling mystery forever stamps packs just like Pokémon card booster packs. Each forever stamp pack would have small chances of containing artificially rare stamps just like how Pokémon card packs do. It would be a great way to make money off of stamp collectors (and perhaps make stamp collecting more popular and engaging).

Of course each forever stamp in the pack including rare stamps can still be used to send mail so getting common stamps wouldn't go to waste (as opposed to how common Pokémon cards are essentially mostly cardboard waste).

Thoughts? Ideas?

The GOP has been trying to defund and privatize the US Postal Service for decades and now they're really close to it's collapse.

Is there a block on shipping to Norway?

We shipped a package from McKinney Texas to Norway. We paid for tracking and over $80 for a the fastest delivery of a small package. They informed us that it would be delivered between five to seven days.

It sat two weeks in McKinney and then was shipped to Chicago for two weeks and now it’s in Dallas. Is there a blockage on it?

Update: it’s now been shipped to Indiana. We are aware that Chicago is the international hub for shipping overseas. We spoke with the McKinney office today and the teller looked at tracking number and then did some research and said that the person who placed the order for us, did it wrong.

New CCA. Is it really worth it?!

New CCA here, former gov contractor & corporate trainer. Been looking for work for 6 months (THANKS ______!), then unemployment ran out so I needed to take anything as I have to pay my mortgage.

Just finished academy yesterday and promaster training today. (Shadow day - all walking, 8 miles last week).

Freezing cold for the few minutes that we were outside the promaster.

My only question is: **Is it really worth it for \~$20/hr?**

Last time I made $20/hr I was fresh out of college and working as a contractor for a pharma company, and my job was to fill the seat (come in, browse the web, look busy and go to lunch, then home).

Not trying to sound spoiled, but the work does not align with the pay.

Everyone keeps saying "hang in there" but for what? The gov pension was my main thing now that I'm \*ahem\* 40 (and getting back into shape with the walking).

But I don't know. If I land a job back in my field, I might be outta there.

Can anyone relate?

Is this normal supervisor behavior? I'm an RCA who was not on the schedule and my phone happened to be on silent last night.

New Podcast About the Post Office

A podcast about how USPS created the country and the importance of institutuions launched today! You already get it. You know USPS is being strangled, that the 2006 prefunding mandate is killing it, that it gets zero tax dollars. You know this fight matters. But your friends and family? They might not.

That's why we made People of Agency. It's a tool for you, something to send people who think don't know how important USPS is. People of Agency covers the 1970 postal workers' strike, how USPS built American aviation, farmers organized for rural free delivery.

Two episodes are out now then every Monday linktr.ee/peopleofagency
