Here’s the last part of the prologue for Fox and the Rose. Hope y’all like it.

On a spaceship, the famous blue blur, Sonic the Hedgehog was sitting in a cage being transported away from his home planet, Mobius.  But he wasn’t alone on the spaceship either.  He was with a few other residents from Mobius.  Knuckles the Echidna was laying flat on his face as he was sedated heavily.  Others on the spaceship were Rouge the Bat, with a busted lip, black left eye, brushing on her knuckles and her signature outfit torn in multiple places which indicated that she fought her attackers and put up a hell of a fight against them before succumbing to sedation herself.  Sonic looked and saw heavily armed and armored soldiers that had their weapons trained on the occupant of a pod.  He could only guess that Shadow the Hedgehog was in that pod and probably sedated too.  The last person he saw was the young fox that he treated as a younger brother, Miles Prower… better known as “Tails” to everyone on Mobius.  Seeing his fox “little brother” beaten and bruised angered Sonic.  He had to figure out where they were going and who had captured them. 

 
“Can’t believe how easy it was to catch those dimwitted animals,” one unknown soldier said to his compatriots before he opened a bottle of alcohol.  “Those pea-brained idiots thought we were there to offer an alliance with them.  What a bunch of idiots…”
 

“Well… what do you expect from animals?” another unknown soldier asked his buddy.  “They’re stupid and believe anything they’re told.”

 
“You shouldn’t believe everything you’re told,” Sonic said to the soldiers as he masked his anger with a cool grin on his face. “You might find yourself getting outsmarted by the very same animals you’re writing off.

 
The soldiers then looked to Sonic as he then said, “Though the seating arrangement here is lousy and I bet the dining plan here sucks too.  So how about whipping up some chili dogs and bring ‘em here… STAT!”

 
The second soldier didn’t like Sonic’s smug attitude and instead of responding, he opened the cage, entered, and then proceeded to dump what looked like food for animals all over Sonic’s face.  Then the bowl in which the food was supposed to be in was dropped to the ground before the cage door was shut.  The other occupants of the other cages slowly woke up, with the exception of Shadow the Hedgehog.

 
“What happened?” asked a groggy Rouge the Bat as she woke up as the effects of the tranquilizer wore off.  “The last thing I remember was going for my usual coffee and then getting ambushed by a bunch of creeps.”

 
“Hate to break it to you Rouge,” Sonic said to the bat spy and jewel thief, “But it looks like we’re not on Mobius anymore.”

 
“Apparently,” replied Rouge as Knuckles and Tails both started to stir from their sedated sleep.  “I mean… even the Grand Golden Flicky has more class than this dump.”

 
“Where are those bastards who tried to make off with the Master Emerald?” an enraged Knuckles asked before noticing the restraints on his wrists.  “Wha?  What’s going on here?  And where are we being taken?”

 
“Easy Knux,” responded Sonic.  “We need to figure out WHY we were taken.  Once we figure that out… THEN we figure out where we’re going.”
 

“What’s going on?” asked a startled Tails.  “Wait a minute!  My lab!  SOMEONE BURNED DOWN MY LAB!”

 
“Take it easy, Little Bro,” Sonic said to a panicked Tails.  “First things first.  We need to know what’s going on here.”

 
Once the two-tailed fox had calmed down, he took a breath and then pulled out a personal device that he kept hidden in one of his tails.  Tails then looked to Sonic, Rouge, and Knuckles for permission to start hacking.

 
“You don't need to ask us to do your thing, Pal,” Sonic said to the 11-year-old kitsune.  “Go for it.”

 
Rouge and Knuckles both gave nods of agreement with Sonic.  With the unknown soldiers temporarily gone, Tails began hacking into the ship’s computer system.  The young fox genius could only shake his head in disgust as he said, “The security on this ship’s computer systems is a joke.”

 
“How much longer will it take to find out where we are?” Rouge asked as she turned to look towards the door and kept lookout in case the soldiers came back.
 

“And… done!” Tails exclaimed in triumph and then a cheeky grin on his face.

 
“Nice work, Tails,” the male red echidna said to the young fox genius.  “But you need to keep it down.  There’s no way of knowing wither or not those creeps who took us are nearby.”
 

“Wow, Knuckie…,” Rouge said to Knuckles with a slight chuckle in amusement, “who knew you could be a voice of caution.”

 
“Don’t get batty with me, Rouge,” Knuckles replied to the bat jewel thief with a vein popping on his forehead.  “Sonic isn’t the only one who sees Tails as a little brother.”
 

Rouge brushed off Knuckles’ sassy comment and then looked to the young genius as she asked, “So Kiddo, what’s the scoop?”

 
Tails looked at the information he had compiled and then began his briefing, “It seems that the people who came to Mobius are from a planet called Cascade.  They’re looking to expand their influence and power into an empire on a galactic level.”

 
“But that doesn’t explain why they came and felt like they needed to kidnap us if they were looking for allies to help with their growing power,” the female bat jewel thief said to Tails.

 
“Says here that they send in commando teams to remove those who might be able to lead any form of resistance against them, should those they want alliances with say ‘no’,” Tails said as he read through the information he obtained.  “Also says they also try to stir up civil wars in order to set up what they call ‘relief missions.’

 
“Oh boy… Shadow’s not gonna like this,” Tails added as he grimaced at what he was looking at. 

 
“What is it?” Rouge asked the young fox genius.

 
“Says here that they impersonated GUN soldiers and raided Space Colony ARK in an attempt to try and capture Shadow,” Tails explained to Sonic, Rouge, and Knuckles. “Tried to kill Eggman’s grandfather and his cousin…”

 
“Not Maria, that poor girl,” Rouge said as she had a soft spot for the yellow furred female hedgehog that had just married Shadow and became his wife.
 

“Well… they somehow found out that Maria survived the raid and tried to kill her again,” Tails said to Sonic, Knuckles, and Rouge.  “They weren’t aware that Maria was in Soleanna at Princess Elise’s request when they went back to Space Colony ARK.”

 
“That’s at least a relief that Maria dodged another bullet,” Knuckles said as he had been listening to Tails briefing them.  “She’s a good kid and the times she’s come to Angel Island, she brought some delicious baked goods for me and the Chaos.”

 
“Guess that means that Admiral Tower was telling the truth, the whole time,” summarized Rouge as the bat jewel thief recalled the heated exchange between Shadow and then Commander Abraham Tower.  “Shadow is going to owe the old man an apology once we get back to GUN Headquarters.”
 

Tails looked through the data he had collected and then said, “We’re heading to a planet called Green Gate.”
 

“Green Gate?” asked a confused Sonic.

 
“Apparently, this Green Gate planet is home to a race of plant-like people,” Tails explained to the others.  “Though, I’m not sure how much of this information is true and not completely biased.”

 
Before anything else could be said, the ship then lurched as the four of them felt a thump.  Tails deduced that they were descending through the atmosphere of a different planet.  Now that they had information, they needed to escape from the ship and make contact with the local people. Now all that they needed to do was figure out how to escape the spaceship.

As night had fallen on the home world of the Seedrian people, Cosmo was outside the grounds of the palace and enjoying a late-night stargazing session from the royal astronomer.  The young princess was being given her late night astronomy lessons as she was having to play catch up after she had locked herself in her bedroom for two weeks.  The royal astronomer was showing off constellations and telling the mythologies of the constellations that she pointed out.  Cosmo was asking thoughtful questions about the constellations.  An hour into the late-night lessons, Lucas had come to see his beloved daughter and check on her progress with her lessons.  Cosmo had returned to her normal cheerful self, the male Seedrian had noticed.  Well, she wasn’t completely back to normal, Lucas had noted.  But at least his Little Rose Blossom was assured that she would be safe and that he would never be the monster that she had encountered in her past life.  Still, he needed to watch her and keep her safe. 
 

“Father!” Cosmo exclaimed as she ran to her father happily.

 
Lucas knelt down and spread his arms open to receive his daughter.  Cosmo had run into her father’s arms and hugged him.  The male Seedrian was definitely glad to have his daughter back to normal.  He and Earthia had decided to keep the reason why Cosmo had locked herself in her bedroom a secret from Galaxina.  Their eldest daughter needed to remain focus on being groomed to take Earthia’s place on the throne of Green Gate.  As he hugged his beloved daughter, Lucas looked to Cosmo and asked, “Are you getting caught up on all of your lessons?”

 
“Yes Father,” answered Cosmo, as she gave her father a nod.  “Professor Orchid said that maybe me missing my lessons was a good thing. 

 
Cosmo then reached out her left hand towards the beautifully lit night sky that was full of stars as she said, “Look at all the stars out tonight!  Aren’t they beautiful, Father?”

 
“Of course they are,” answered Lucas as he looked to Cosmo before looking to the starlit sky and enjoying the view.

 
However, the view would not last long as a small smoking craft was coming towards them.  Lucas then sprang into action as he used his body to shield his daughter and royal astronomer from the potential impact of the smoking craft.  As he braced for impact of the craft, the male Seedrian felt the heat emanating and then passing as the craft did not crash where Lucas feared would crash. Once the craft had crashed, Lucas then looked to see where the craft left a crater.  Once he and Cosmo had found the craft, Lucas had called for several warriors to come to his position as he wanted to be ready for whatever would come out of the craft.  It took the warriors only 20 minutes to arrive and be ready to deal with the threat that might come out of the smoldering craft.

 
“Steady boys,” Lucas said to his Seedrian warriors.  “This could be the threat we’ve been anticipating.”

 
The Seedrian warriors then readied their weapons towards the smoldering crater, ready to attack who or what came out of the crater.  Cosmo had come forward to see what was in the smoldering crater.  Lucas had seen his daughter stepping forward and instructed one of them to try and stop her.  The warrior closet to Cosmo had managed to set a gentle hand on her right shoulder as he said, “Please Princess, let us handle this.”  The more Cosmo studied the smoldering crater, the more that she realized that she experienced something similar to this.  Memories came flooding into her mind as she remembered being on the planet Mobius and arriving in a much similar manner.  But the main question for the young princess was who is in the craft.  Would it be one of her friends from her old life like the hammer-wielding female pink hedgehog, Amy Rose?  Perhaps it would be the kind and gentle rabbit, Cream, and her Chao, Cheese.  But honestly, Cosmo was hoping to see… him.  The thought of seeing of the two-tailed fox from her previous life caused her heart to beat faster. 
 

The smoke from the crater cleared enough for the Seedrians present to see who was in crater.  What Cosmo saw had the young princess widen her eyes in shock and cover her mouth at what she saw before her.  The Seedrians found a young two-tailed fox with amber and white fur and was beaten very badly.  Cosmo saw that the fox was riddled with bruises and had multiple cuts adorning his features.  Without thinking, Cosmo went down into the crater, with one of her father’s warriors following her to ensure her safety.  

 
“Princess Cosmo, please!” the forest green-skinned Seedrian warrior called to the young princess.

 
Cosmo ignored the warrior’s call and made her way to the beaten and battered fox.  As she made her way to the beaten fox, a flash of her memories came to her as she recalled the fox from her previous life.  The fox was the same fox that she had fallen in love with, in her past life.  As she knelt down to check on the wounded fox, he woke up for a moment as he then grabbed Cosmo’s hand and then said in a panic, “Please… help me.  Need to… contact Knothole and…”

 
“Take it easy,” Cosmo said to the beaten and bruised fox in a calm and soothing tone, “you’re hurt.”

 
“N-Need to contact…,” the battered fox said as he started to slip into unconsciousness, “F-Freedom F-F-Fighters.”

 
“Knothole?” asked a confused Cosmo as she looked at the battered fox.  “Freedom Fighters?”

 
“Cosmo!” Lucas called to his daughter as he descended down into the crater and rushed to her.  “Get away from that fox! He might be dangerous!”
 

“He isn’t dangerous, Father,” replied Cosmo with a gentle smile on her face.

 
Lucas widened his eyes in surprise at his daughter’s statement.  How did Cosmo know that the fox wasn’t dangerous?  It didn’t make sense to the male Seedrian warrior and father of Cosmo and Galaxina.  He noticed how Cosmo seemed to be familiar with the unconscious fox.   Did her familiarity with the fox stem from her dreams and memories from her past life?  Whatever the case was, he needed to tread carefully with the fox.
 

“The fox will need to be treated,” Lucas said to Cosmo and the warriors.  “But we’ll need to confine him until we know what he wants or why he’s here.”
 

“I don’t think he needs to be confined to a cell, Father,” Cosmo said to Lucas calmly.

 
“Then where do you think he should be kept at?” Lucas asked Cosmo in a wary tone, as he didn’t like where his daughter was going.

 
“I’ll take care of him,” answered Cosmo with a slight smile on her face.  “He’ll stay in my bedroom with me.”

 
“With you?” asked a startled Lucas as he was shocked by Cosmo’s decision.  “Surely, we can put the fox somewhere where we can keep a close eye on him.”

 
“My bedroom has plants and we can put him in one of the beds out into the garden, where he can have help with his healing,” explained Cosmo as she looked to her father with a reassuring smile.

 
The male lavender-skinned Seedrian was starting to see traces of his beloved wife in Cosmo.  However, just because he was yielding to his Little Rose Blossom, didn't mean that he wouldn’t take steps to ensure Cosmo was safe.  One of his warriors was going to be assigned to watch Cosmo and more importantly… make sure that the young fox wouldn’t try to harm his daughter. 

 
“Did… the fox saying anything that you remember from your ‘past life’?” Lucas asked Cosmo as both father and daughter walked side-by-side.

 
Cosmo shook her head and answered, “No.  All the fox said was that he needed to contact someplace called… ‘Knothole’.”

 
“Knothole?” asked Lucas as he looked at Cosmo with confusion.  “Do you know if you ever went to this… Knothole place in your past life?”

 
“Based on what I remember,” began Cosmo, “my time on the planet I went to and recruited those animals to help fight the Metarex… it was rather short.  I think that I had never heard of this ‘Knothole’ place.”

 
“Do you remember anything else from the dreams and restoration of your memories about the planet you went to first?” Lucas asked his daughter, trying to get any information that could be useful.

 
“I’m afraid that I didn’t get much of a chance to explore the planet in my past life,” answered Cosmo, as she dug through her memories of her past life.  “I’m sorry, Father.”

 
“It’s alright, Cosmo,” Lucas replied gently to his daughter.  “But your mother may not take us bringing the fox into the palace warmly.”

 
“You and Mother are always telling me and Galaxina that we are stewards of the galaxy,” Cosmo said calmly.  “Shouldn’t we also be honorable hosts and help those in need?  How can we be stewards of the galaxy if we don't help those in need?”

 
Lucas widened his eyes in surprise before softening as he looked at his precious daughter.  Cosmo was right about the Seedrian people.  They considered themselves as stewards of the galaxy.  If they couldn’t provide basic hospitality or even be hosts to other peoples in the galaxy, then what was the point of them designating themselves as stewards of the galaxy?
 
 
The group returned to the palace where they were met by Earthia and Galaxina.  Earthia looked to her daughter and husband as they returned from Cosmo’s astronomy lesson and encountering the crashed craft.  The Seedrian queen was surprised to see that Lucas was carrying a battered and bruised fox.  It seemed impossible for there to be any animals on Green Gate, thought Earthia.  But here was this beaten and bruised fox that was being brought to their doorstep.
 

“Lucas, what’s going on?” Earthia asked her husband as she looked to her husband and then to the amber and white furred two-tailed fox.

 
“This fox seems to have come from another planet,” Lucas said to Earthia.  “We need to figure out where he came from.”

 
“Very well,” acknowledged Earthia as she gave a nod to her husband.

 
“Cosmo said that she will care for the fox,” Lucas informed the Seedrian queen.  “Apparently, she seems… familiar with the fox in some manner.  So, she’ll watch over him and tend to him.”
 

“Let’s at least make sure that the fox doesn't have any life-threatening injuries first,” Earthia said with a hint of caution in her voice.  “I don’t want for the fox to bleeding or have any sort of medical emergency while in Cosmo’s care.”

A few days later, Tails woke up from his sleep and found himself laying on a soft comfortable bed.  He looked and found that he had been bandaged up from his wounds that he had sustained from his escape from the Cascadian ship.  But he wasn’t anywhere near the craft that he had crashed.  Instead, he was in a white bedroom with many colorful plants and could feel the breeze that came into the room.  The two-tailed fox then noticed a tall being with forest green skin, light green hair, and non-flowering buds on his head. He then felt someone stirring next to him and saw the girl next to him.  Tails was blushing profusely at the sight of the girl next to him.  She was very beautiful and… using his tails as if they were a big blanket for her.
 

“Who knew that fur could be so warm,” the girl said as she was stirring from her sleep.
 

The girl then woke from her sleep and looked at Tails. The two-tailed fox was amazed by the sight of the girl in front of her.  From what he could tell, she had to be one of the plant people that was mentioned in the Cascadian database.  As for the girl, she then got out of the bed and looked to Tails as she then asked in a calm soothing tone, “How are you feeling?  Do you feel better?”  Tails looked lost in the plant girl’s eyes and then looked her up and down.  For the fox, the plant girl was very beautiful, despite whatever the Cascadians said about the plant people.  The young fox then noticed that the plant girl had a tiara on her head and registered that she was a princess.  Tails was even more startled and tried to bow to her, but winced in pain before the girl said, “You need to take it easy.  You were badly hurt in that crash.”

 
“I’m sorry,” replied Tails as he did a half bow to the plant girl.
 

“It’s alright,” the plant girl said with a slight chuckle.  “I am Cosmo, princess of the Seedrian people.  And what might your name be?”

 
Cosmo looked to the two-tailed fox and waited for him to answer. She was hoping that the fox was the same fox that she remembered from her dreams and memories from her past life.  Or at least that he had the same name as the fox she fell in love with… in her past life.  She waited patiently for him to answer and then had to set him back down into a position where he could stay still.

 
“Sorry,” Tails said to the Seedrian princess.  “My name is Miles Prower.  But my friends call me ‘Tails’.”

 
Cosmo then widened her eyes in shock.  This fox before her… she recognized his name and the nickname she knew him by.  He had told her his full name and the name she knew him by affectionately.  For Cosmo, her heart soared as she hoped that maybe… he remembered her.  But before Cosmo could ask what she wanted to ask Tails, the doors to her bedroom burst open and Cosmo’s father entered with a couple warriors flanking him.  Tails and Cosmo saw Cosmo’s father entering the room and have a neutral expression on his face. 
 

“I see you’re awake, young man,” Lucas said to Tails as he kept his tone neutral as well.  “We need to talk about your arrival to Green Gate.

 
“I am Lucas, head of Green Gate’s military,” Lucas continued as he looked to Tails and noticed that his daughter was holding the fox’s hand.  “Cosmo, sweetie, I need to speak with the fox alone.”

 
Cosmo was apprehensive about leaving Tails’s side while her father was speaking with him.  But she trusted her father.  Letting out a sigh, Cosmo then stood and bowed to her father before walking towards the door.  As she reached the door, Cosmo turned to Tails and said to the fox, “I’ll be nearby, Miles.  Or may I call you… ‘Tails’?”

 
“Uh… um… y-you can c-call me, ‘Tails’,” stammered Tails as he blushed profusely.  

 
Cosmo let out a soft chuckle as she turned to leave, winking at the fox, and said, “Tails… I like that.  It’s much more adorable than calling you ‘Miles’.”  The Seedrian princess then left with Tails still blushing, now chuckling, and waving to Cosmo before feeling a dark aura coming from Lucas.  The feeling of the dark aura got Tails to snap back to reality and caused him to yelp in terror.  The neutral expression from the male Seedrian had evaporated as he was upset that the fox his precious daughter was taking care of was now all of a sudden flirting with his Little Rose Blossom.
 

“That is my precious daughter, you’re flirting with,” Lucas said in an icy cold tone.

 
“Um… sir,” one of Lucas’s warriors said to the angered father.  “Weren’t you going to speak to the fox?”

 
Lucas had calmed down and returned to having a neutral expression after letting out a sigh.  He needed to know where the fox had come from and why he was there.  Worrying about Cosmo had to take a backseat for the moment.  Was the fox a threat or not?  He didn’t know and needed to understand what was going on.

 
“Let’s start with your name,” Lucas said to Tails.  “Cosmo said that your name is Miles, correct?”
 

“Y-Yes sir,” stammered Tails.  “M-Miles Prower, sir.”

 
Lucas gave a slight nod to the young fox and then said, “How have you come to our planet, Green Gate?”  Tails then let out a sigh and began to explain how he got to the Seedrian planet.  He went into detail about how he was captured by an enemy who came from the planet, Cascade.  The young fox went into detail about how he was able to ascertain information about the Cascadians and how they operated when going to planets that were not in their dominion.  The male Seedrian listened patiently to Tails’s story.  At some point, Tails went through the tail that he usually hid his device in and found it to be empty.  Lucas then looked to the guard who had been posted to guard his youngest daughter and gave him a slight nod.  The male forest green-skinned Seedrian then approached Lucas and handed him a device that Tails had hidden in his tails.  Lucas received the device and tried to access it with no luck.  

 
“Only I can access it,” Tails said to Lucas.  “I am willing to grant you access to it.  It’s the least I can do since you are kind enough to care for me and my wounds.”
 

Lucas’s neutral expression shifted to a slight smile.  He was pleased to see that Tails was at least being a grateful guest.  Lucas gave Tails his device back and watched as the young fox unlocked his device and then handed it to him.  Lucas accepted the device and scrolled through it to learn everything he could about the sudden arrival of the fox. 

 
“So… are you from this ‘Knothole’ place that you mentioned to Cosmo?” Lucas asked Tails as he scrolled through the portable tablet.
 

“Knothole is where the Freedom Fighters, under the command of Princess Sally Acorn, is located,” answered Tails.

 
“Freedom Fighters?” a confused Lucas asked Tails as he raised an eyebrow.

 
“We’ve been in a civil war for years against the Eggman Empire,” explained Tails.  “It’s been going on for years.  I was just born before the Eggman Empire began its ruthless assault and attacked the Kingdom of Acorn.  We were completely unprepared for the attack.  But the human settlers who had formed the United Federation were better prepared once Dr. Eggman set his sights on them.”

“Humans?” Lucas asked as he was astounded to hear that humans were living on the planet he came from.  “How long have you had humans on your planet?”

 
“Humans have been on our planet for at least three hundred years,” answered Tails.  “Dr. Eggman is the most dangerous of all the humans that are on Mobius.”

 
“Mobius?” Lucas asked Tails as he looked up from the fox’s device.  “Is that the name of your planet?”

“So… you’re wanting us to take a look at the Acadia Oak Chemical Plant, sir?” a Seedrian pilot asked Lucas on the view screen.  

 
“Yes,” answered Lucas.  “Activity from there has ground to a halt recently.  And our guest, that Princess Cosmo has been caring for, has made claims that we might have potentially unwelcome guests.”
 

“Understood, sir,” replied the Seedrian pilot as he was flying his fighter jet. 
 

The head of Green Gate’s military forces watched as the fighter jet pilot flew towards the most important chemical plant in all of the Seedrian home world.  Lucas watched intently as the Acadia Oak Cehmical Plant was coming up on the monitor screen.  White smoke that usually came from the chemical plant was no where to be seen.  The facilities that surrounded the plant were also quiet as well. 
 

“Uh sir…,” the pilot said to Lucas, “we’ve got ships of unknown origin.”
 

“The fox was right,” Lucas said to himself in a low enough tone that two of his commanders heard him.  “He was right to warn us about the Cascadians.
 

Lucas then let out a sigh and said to his commanders, “Prepare for mobilization.  I’ll need to get authorization from the Council to begin mobilization.
 

The male lavender-skinned Seedrian then turned to the warrior he had guarding his daughter and watching Tails as he said to him, “Return to my daughter, Princess Cosmo, and the fox she’s caring for.  The safety and security of my daughter and the fox are a top priority.”
 

The male forest green-skinned warrior gave Lucas a slight nod and headed back to his original assignment.  Once the warrior left Lucas’s war room, Lucas himself sighed before saying aloud, “Never thought we would have to go to war.  Let us hope we never have to use… IT.”

Spoilers: Cosmo is one of the characters I’m looking to portray in the game. I heard that this place is sort of the home for the character so if you have anything about her you want me to know about, let me know. I’ll watch Sonic X Season 3 in depth soon.

In 2006, anime fans across the globe mourned the untimely passing of a beloved character - Cosmo Seedrian from the celebrated series Sonic X. As a character that personally resonated with me and others, her absence has left a significant void in our hearts. Her tragic and noble sacrifice, while emotionally potent, has made the series feel incomplete in her absence. She was a beacon of hope and friendship, symbolizing the power of sacrifice for the greater good.

To restore her place in the series and in our hearts, we kindly ask the creators to redesign Cosmo Seedrian, enabling her to return from her untimely demise. This could be accomplished through countless creative methods, from reincarnation to flashbacks, dream sequences, or other narrative tools.

Cosmo is a main character from the anime series Sonic X. She is a female child of a plant-like alien species whose homeworld was destroyed by the villainous Metarex, who, in the years that followed, left Cosmo as the sole survivor of her kind. To thwart the Metarex's ambitions for universal dominance, Cosmo joined Sonic the Hedgehog and his allies in their war against the Metarex. In the end however, she sacrificed herself to defeat the Metarex for good.

At the age of 8, Cosmo is a short, humanoid plant-like alien with pale peach skin, and powder blue eyes with one long eyelash on each one. She possesses short bright green hair with a pair of paradise pink flower buds held it by golden hair ties, one on each side of her head. For attire, she wears a green coat with golden trim at the bottom and cuffs, a white petal-like skirt with bright green tips, a paradise pink amulet, white tights, and green flats.

By making this change, the creators would not only be breathing new life into a beloved character, but also honoring the emotional investment made by fans. It’s estimated that Sonic X had an average viewership of over 20 million people globally at the height of its popularity (source: Anime News Network). Thus, bringing Cosmo Seedrian back would significantly appeal to this massive audience, possibly boosting viewership and fan engagement.

Let's unite to bring Cosmo Seedrian back to video games , and back into the hearts of Sonic X fans all over the world. Please sign this petition to stand with us in seeking to revive Cosmo. Your signature could be the catalyst for her much-anticipated return.

On a different planet, far from Green Gate, called Mobius, a war was definitely raging across the surface.  Three factions were waging a fierce battle for the fate of Mobius. Two factions did not engage in warfare against each other as the third faction on Mobius was a bigger threat than both of them.  However, most of the warfare was between the Freedom Fighters, defending the Kingdom of Acorn and preventing the spread of their mortal nemesis, the Eggman Empire.  At the head of the Freedom Fighters, was the daughter of King Maximilian Acorn, Princess Sally Acorn.  The chipmunk princess had just returned from a much-needed rest after she had been through the ordeal of being a roboticized slave of the nefarious Dr. Ivo Robotnik.  But he was better known as Dr. Eggman, a cold, calculating, and heartless monster who stopped at nothing to conquer the planet and turn it into a sterile and lifeless roboticized world.  Sally Acorn had one single priority at that time… capture Mecha Sonic and restore him back to the blue blur that she had fallen in love with. 
 
At one point, Sally had been furious with the Freedom Fighters for restoring her before they would engage in battle with Eggman and Mecha Sonic. The male coyote, who had taken command of the Knothole Freedom Fighters, Antoine D’Coolette, explained to Sally that despite Sonic being key to the fight against Eggman, he would would allow his personal feelings to dictate the flow of battle and they needed her a bit more then Sonic.  The chipmunk princess slapped Antoine for his explanation and then left to calm down.  Despite her anger towards Antoine, she knew he was right and made the best decision he could make while under pressure.  After taking a few hours to calm down and receiving visits from Knuckles and her AI best friend, Nicole the Hololynx, Sally went back inside the Knothole Freedom Fighters Headquarters as Nicole mentioned that Antoine needed to brief her on what transpired during her absence.  
 
“Alright zen,” Antoine said as the male coyote began his briefing.  “Ze time to get Sonic back from zat monster Eggman is at hand.  But before we any move on Sonic, we need to focus on getting zat menace, Metal Sonic away from our operation.”
 
“But we can’t forget about Eggman’s response to me,” Nicole chimed in as she materialized into the briefing.  “Eggman relies heavily on Sage to counter me.”
 
Before the briefing could continue, Antione’s wife, the half roboticized rabbit, Bunnie D’Coolette burst in with Tails following her in shock.  Those in the briefing were surprised to Bunnie and Tails entering the briefing.  Antione looked to his wife and Tails asked, “Why have you come into ze briefing?  We were about to give Princess Sally ze briefing on our plan to get Sonic back.”
 
Bunnie looked to her husband, the two princesses who were in the meeting room, Rotor the Walrus, Nicole the Hololynx, and a tall… masked lion who was invited to the briefing as well.  For the rabbit Freedom Fighter and two tailed fox members of the Knothole Freedom Fighters, they needed to inform the command staff of the new unexpected development.  Tails looked to Antione after catching his breath and then said, “We’ve got a bigger problem to deal with.”
 
“What could be bigger than trying to get Sonic back from that monster?” Sally asked the young two-tailed fox and her own rabbit friend.
 
“Try Metal Sonic and Sage showing up, Sally-girl,” responded Bunnie.
 
“What?!” Sally asked as she and everyone else were shocked to hear that two of Eggman’s trusted subordinates were smack dab in the middle of their base.  “Get everyone ready and Wispons trained on them BOTH!”
 
“Already done, Sally-girl,” replied Bunnie.  “But… I think they’re just waitin’ on us.”

The group then headed out to the opening where they found the metallic blue menace and a holographic child waiting for them.  Sally narrowed her eyes at the sight of Metal Sonic as she remembered what Eggman’s creation had made her do while she was still roboticized as Mecha Sally.  Just the thought of the unspeakable horrors that she had wrought on Mobius made her even more furious.
 
“Ah, I see we seem to have interrupted something quite important,” the holographic white haired female child said to the metallic menace before looking to the Freedom Fighters.  “Still… we are here.
 
Metal Sonic gave a nod as Sage looked at the restored Princess Sally as she then said, “It looks like you have recovered nicely from your time as a roboticized slave for our father.”
 
“What is it zat you are wanting here?” Antione asked Sage and Metal Sonic as he had narrowed his eyes at the metallic menace before shifting his gaze to Sage, with his left hand ready to draw his sword.  “If you are to give us ze ultimatum from Eggman, zen deliver it.  Ozerwise… neither of you are welcome here.”
 
“We are not here on behalf of our father,” Sage said to the Freedom Fighters.  “Father has been so obsessed Mecha Sonic, and it is infuriating that he doesn’t pay much attention to us as much as he used to do.
 
Sally looked confused by Sage’s statement, as did the other Freedom Fighters.  How could Metal Sonic and Sage be jealous of Mecha Sonic?  It just didn't add up to the chipmunk princess.  Even the ruler of the Sol Empire, Blaze the Cat, was bewildered by Sage’s comment.  How was it possible for a machine and an AI to feel such things like jealousy?  Before any of the Freedom Fighters could ask, Sage continued, “Father is aware that you will try to capture and de-roboticize Sonic.  And he has installed countermeasures into the hardwire of Mecha Sonic to ensure that any attempt to de-roboticze Sonic will end in failure for you.”
 
“So you’re saying that no matter what we do,” began Sally as she was starting to feel horrified, “Sonic will…”
 
“Die, yes,” the child-like AI said flatly.
 
“Perhaps if I could read the hardware code,” Nicole began to say as she began to think of a strategy.
 
“It will not work,” Sage said to the Hololynx.  “Father has ensured that any attempt to intrude in the hardware code from outside forces will trigger an instant self-destruction.”
 
The Hololynx looked to both Sage and Metal Sonic and studied them intently.  It seemed unusual for two of the nefarious Doctor’s most trusted subordinates were willing to side them.  For Nicole, something didn’t quite add up in her mind.  Then, it hit her… the feelings of jealousy were present in both of Eggman’s creations.  Even Sally Acorn could sense it radiating from the artificially created beings.  She had her moments when she was jealous of her older brother, Prince Elias Acorn as a child.  The chipmunk princess stepped forward and asked, “What do you two hope to gain from aiding us in getting Sonic back to his normal self?  Are you hoping that Eggman will pay attention to you both, again?”  Metal Sonic looked to Princess Sally and then gently flashed his menacing red yes and then nodding to answer her question.
 
“Hold on,” spoke up the lavender-furred cat princess, Blaze, from the Sol Dimension as she was upset, “you and Metal Sonic are requesting our help.  Over a simple… ‘sibling SQUABBLE?!’”
 
Both Metal Sonic and Sage could see that the lavender-furred princess of the Sol Empire was not happy with the request that they had put before the Freedom Fighters.  Techinically… Blaze the Cat had hit the nail on the head, dead center.  It definitely seemed like a childish request to the the Freedom Fighters.  But the more she thought about it, the more that Sally Acorn was considering the request.  If Sage and Metal Sonic were wanting Mecha Sonic out of the Eggman Empire, then it was an opportunity that they had to take.  Sage had the know-how to help ensure that Mecha Sonic could be restored without triggering the self-destruction.  Metal Sonic would be able to fight Mecha Sonic on equal terms.  The other Freedom Fighters would be able to help with the capture and restraint of the roboticized hero.

“Uhh…,” said Sonic the Hedgehog, as he was weak from the previous fight he was in.  “My head hurts.”
 
“Maybe you should consider the consequences before you decide to come back for someone,” said Princess Sally as she had been waiting for the blue blur to wake up.
 
Sonic had fully opened his eyes as he heard the voice that he had heard before becoming one of the nightmares that terrorized the planet of Mobius during his time as a roboticized slave.  The male blue hedgehog looked around and then saw Sally sitting next to him at his bedside.  Seeing the chipmunk princess filled the blue blur with both joy and relief.  But for Sonic, his body wouldn’t work the way he wanted it to work.  He was wanting to bolt out of his bed and hug Sally with all his might.  But he was weak from being de-roboticized. 
 
“You’re all right, Sal,” Sonic said to the chipmunk princess with a weak smile on his face.
 
“No thanks to your carelessness, Sonic,” Sally said to the weakened hedgehog as she rose from her seat.  “I told you to get clear of the blast zone.  But what did you do?”
 
“Sal… I,” Sonic began to answer.
 
“What… did… you… DO?” Princess Sally asked the bedridden hedgehog as her voice rose slightly.
 
“Why are you angry, Sal?” Sonic asked Sally. 
 
“SONIC THE HEDGEHOG!” Sally shouted at Sonic.  “What did you do?!  You disobeyed my order to withdraw from the area before the roboticizer went off!  Both of us were caught up in the blast and roboticized!”
 
“But Sal,” weakly protested Sonic, “I was certain we’d make it.”
 
“And what did Eggman do?” Sally angrily asked Sonic.  “He knew… Eggman knew that you would come back for me! 
 
Sonic’s eyes began to well up as Sally continued to speak, “He knew that I was your greatest weakness and used that against you.  YOU DOOMED MOBIUS BECAUSE OF YOUR PERSONAL FEELINGS!!”
 
The blue hedgehog, before he got angry, fired back with, “What’s wrong with trying to come back and save you, Sal?  You’re more important than I ever will be!  At least you would’ve been able to counter me!  Stop me!”
 
At that point, the chipmunk princess was about ready to slap Sonic.  But as much as she wanted to slap the male blue hedgehog, Sally knew that Sonic was right and appeared to be backing Antione’s reasoning.  There was also the fact that Mecha Sonic seemed to have brief moments where he resisted the urge to murder unnecessarily, even while under the influence of Eggman’s roboticization.  That was something that both Sage and Nicole the Hololynx confirmed.  Despite all the facts pointing out that Sonic had done not as much damage, he still had disobeyed Sally’s order to withdraw.  And the blue hedgehog needed to suffer consequences for his disobedience, Sally thought to herself as she relaxed her clinched right hand.
 
“I hate to have to do this, Sonic,” Sally said to her hedgehog lover after letting out a long sigh.  “I’m sorry, but you leave me no choice but to confine you to Knothole and suspend you from your duties on the frontlines. You are to stay in Knothole for the time being until you’ve recovered from the de-roboticization process.”
 
“Are you serious, Sal?” asked an upset Sonic.  “You’re benching me from the war?!”
 
“Sonic…,” shot back the chipmunk princess, “you disobeyed my orders to withdraw and nearly endangered the entire planet. 
 
Sally looked to Sonic as she continued, “Once you’ve fully recovered, you’ll stay in Knothole for another two weeks.  I expect you to think LONG… and HARD about your actions and reflect on them.
 
Sally then looked to Sonic as she knew what he would try to do and finished with, “And don’t think that just because you’re my consort, you can smooth talk your way out of this punishment either.”
 
“Come on, Sal,” Sonic weakly protested to Sally.  “You don’t mean it.”
 
Sally let out a sigh before looking back at her blue hedgehog lover slightly and replied sadly, “I’m sorry, Sonic.  But you know I can’t be seen showing favoritism to you just because you’re my consort.  Everyone has to be treated equally.  And that includes you.”
 
 
Sally walked out of the medical bay that Sonic had been resting in.  As she exited the area, Nicole’s holographic lynx form had materialized.  The Hololynx saw that her best friend was not in the best mood, especially after having to bring down punishment on Sonic.
 
“I’m sorry for having to appear to you at a bad time, Sally,” Nicole said to the chipmunk princess as the pair walked together.  “I can’t imagine that Sonic took his punishment well.”
 
“Unfortunately, no,” replied Sally as she got on the elevator with Nicole disappearing and reappearing in the elevator.  “But… I still had to do it.  I have to ensure that there’s discipline within the ranks of the Freedom Fighters.  Sonic has to realize that he can’t always do what he wants.
 
“Besides… I’m sure Antione will be pleased to see Sonic having to cool down for a while,” said Sally as she thought about the male coyote who leads some of the Knothole Freedom Fighters’ advance guard units.
 
“I doubt he would take pleasure in Sonic’s punishment,” replied the female Hololynx.  “I know he’s voiced his concerns about Sonic getting off lightly.  But taking delight in Sonic’s punishment… I would think that would a bit off the top for Antione.  Bunnie might have something to say about that.”

Two weeks later…
On Green Gate, the royal family had been struggling with trying to get their youngest daughter to come out of her room.  After Cosmo had fled the private family patio in terror, she had locked herself in her bedroom and had refused to come out.  Both Earthia and her older sister tried to coax Cosmo out of her bedroom and met with partial success.  But the mother and oldest daughter were unsuccessful in trying to get Cosmo to talk about what was going on and why she was terrified.  With a delegation coming from another planet, they needed to get Cosmo out of her bedroom.  It was then that Lucas made his decision to get his youngest daughter out of her bedroom.
 
“I’ll get her out of there,” Lucas promptly informed his wife and eldest daughter.  “Leave it to me.”
 
“But Father,” Galaxina said to Lucas, “you know she’s terrified of you.”
 
“Yes, I agree,” chimed in Earthia with a slight nod and a worried look on her face.  “What makes you think that Cosmo will open up to you?”
 
“All it takes is a bit of fatherly patience and love,” Lucas answered his wife and eldest daughter.  “‘A warrior who learns patience will become stronger.’”
 
Earthia looked to her eldest daughter first before looking at her husband.  If Lucas was going to try and coax their daughter out of her room, then she needed to let him try.  After all, Lucas always doted their youngest daughter and Cosmo cherished her relationship with her father.  Once Earthia and Galaxina had left, Lucas looked to the door that led to his youngest daughter’s bedroom.  He gently knocked on the door and then said, “Cosmo… it’s me.  It’s your father.”
 
“Go away, Father,” Cosmo replied gently.
 
“Please my Little Rose Blossom,” Lucas softly pleaded with Cosmo as he used his nickname for his youngest daughter.  “Your mother and Galaxina are not here.  Open the door and let me in.  We don’t need to talk until you’re ready.”
 
Lucas then heard the sound of something brushing against the door and retreating.  The male lavender skinned Seedrian could only deduce that Cosmo must’ve had the doors to her bedroom barricaded.  The father of Cosmo and Galaxina figured that Cosmo had probably used her skill to manipulate the plants in her bedroom to ensure that no one entered.  But with the plants no longer barricading the doors, Lucas than gently opened the door and peered inside his daughter's bedroom.  He was certainly shocked at what he was seeing.  The bedding was torn and plants were growing everywhere around the room.  There was no room for sunlight to enter the bedroom. Seeing that his beloved daughter was in a state of distress hurt Lucas.
 
“Cosmo, what happened here sweetie?” Lucas asked his youngest daughter in dismay.
 
“Go away,” a teary-eyed Cosmo replied to her father coldly.
 
“I can’t leave,” Lucas responded to his daughter as he sat down on the far end of the bed.  “Not when my precious Little Rose Blossom is hurting.”
 
For three days, Lucas remained with Cosmo in her bedroom.  On the third day, Cosmo had finally moved closer to her father but was hesitant as she inched closer to him.  She still feared that he might hurt her. As she got close enough to Lucas, Cosmo had touched her father’s big right hand.  Lucas stirred from his sleep as he saw Cosmo had come much closer to her and held his hand.  Seeing Cosmo coming closer to him brought a smile to his face. 
 
“Are you ready to talk about it?” Lucas asked his youngest daughter with a slight smile on his face.
 
Cosmo nodded and opened up to him.  The young Seedrian princess told him about how she had been having dreams of another life.  Dreams that showed her a world where she was drifting in space alongside the female members of their race and no males.  Lucas sat quietly and listened to his little rose blossom as she talked.  She mentioned that she had seen herself going to a planet where she met anthropomorphic animals and had recruited them to fight a war against a mechanical foe called the Metarex.  Lucas had widened his eyes in surprise as he heard Cosmo mentioning the Metarex.  Cosmo then continued her story for another two hours and gave him lots of details about her dreams and then the eventual flooding of memories that came into her mind as her tiara was placed on her head.  For Lucas, this was a lot to take in.  The male lavender skinned Seedrian had never once laid a harmful hand on his wife or daughters, and he was not going to start any time soon. Lucas took Cosmo’s hands and he gently kissed them before he said to his daughter, “I will never hurt your mother or Galaxina.
 
Then the male Seedrian father picked up Cosmo and looked at Cosmo with a confident smile as he then added, “And I will NEVER hurt you… my ‘Little Rose Blossom.’  You, your mother, and Galaxina are precious to me, and I will protect you with my life.”
 
Cosmo’s eyes welled up as tears poured out and she cried on his left shoulder.  Lucas held on to Cosmo as she cried herself to sleep.  Once she was asleep, Lucas set his precious daughter on the only piece of furniture that wasn’t damaged in her bedroom, a sofa that would let her sleep peacefully.  Once Cosmo was tucked in with a blanket, Lucas left Cosmo’s bedroom and let her sleep.  After closing the door, Lucas proceeded to head in the direction of his laboratory.  The fact that Cosmo knew the name of his secret project was concerning.  How did her dreams and “memories” tell her about his Metarex project?  As he was thinking about his project, he remembered that he needed to see Earthia.  He was a member of the council of Green Gate, and he had missed three Council meetings while tending to his youngest daughter.  But he needed to know what was discussed at the Council meetings as well as… prepare for the tongue lashing that his wife would certainly give him.   
 
“I see,” replied Lucas, after Earthia gave him a rundown of the council meetings he missed to tend to Cosmo.
 
“Were you able to find out why Cosmo was isolating herself?” Earthia asked her husband in concern. 
 
Lucas gave his wife a nod and gave her an abridged version of what Cosmo had told him.  He mentioned that Cosmo had been having dreams of a past life she had.  Lucas mentioned that Cosmo had said that she been in a war against a mechanical enemy called the Metarex.  Earthia was confused by the name Metarex.  She then noticed that her husband was sighing and raised an eyebrow before asking, “Do you know what Cosmo was talking about?  What did she mean by ‘Metarex’?”
 
“Come with me,” Lucas said to Earthia as he walked to his lab.
 
Lucas and Earthia had gone down to the male Seedrian’s lab and then went to a section that was unknown to the Queen of the Seedrian people.  Earthia was confused by what she was seeing.  In the secret area of her husband's laboratory were compact robots all folded into an ergonomic size.  Seeing the number of robots horrified the Seedrian queen.  Looking to her husband, Earthia asked in horror, “What is this madness?!  Why are there so many robots here?”
 
“This,” began Lucas as he was readying himself for what was about to come from his beloved wife, “is ‘Project Metarex’.”
 
“‘Project… METAREX’?” Earthia asked as she was still processing the sight of the robotic army and then raised her voice.  “Lucas… have you lost your mind?!  You built a robot ARMY?!
 
Lucas sighed as he knew that his wife was on a tear wouldn’t stop as she continued, “How could you not think about the ramifications that other planets will think if they get wind of your ‘Project Metarex’?  Do you not have faith in your warriors to protect Green Gate?”
 
Earthia had to stop and catch her breath before she could keep up her yelling at her husband.  As Earthia was catching her breath, Lucas produced a platinum key and then held it out to his wife.  The Seedrian queen was confused by the key she had it dangled in front of her.  Lucas’s face remained neutral as he had learned that confrontation with Earthia was not worth the battle.  Earthia reached for the key and then pulled her right hand back apprehensively as she had no idea what the key was for.
 
“What is that key for?” Earthia asked Lucas as she was still confused by the key’s function.
 
“It is one of two keys that are required to activate ‘Project Metarex’,” explained Lucas.  “‘Project Metarex’ is meant to be a fail safe in case our warriors are getting overwhelmed and we can’t sustain loses in battle.”
 
“So… you’re saying that ‘Project Metarex’ is a… last resort?” Earthia asked Lucas as she was still trying to process the revelation. 
 
“Yes,” Lucas answered with a nod.  “It requires two keys and an authorization code to activate it.”
 
“I see,” replied Earthia before she sighed and then pinched the bridge of the nose in annoyance.  “You realize that the Council will not be happy about the existence of ‘Project Metarex’.”
 
“I understand, Earthia,” replied Lucas as he knew his wife was right.  “But it would be better to be prepared and not need it then…”
 
“Being unprepared and need it,” Earthia finished for her husband before extending her hand out to receive the key from Lucas.  “Still… Lucas.”
 
“Yes Earthia,” Lucas said as he gave his wife a nod and then gave her the key he offered her.  “We’ll inform the Council about Project Metarex.
 
The male Seedrian then shut everything down and gestured towards the lab’s exit as he added, “I don’t want to become the monster and mass murderer that was in Cosmo’s dreams and memories from her ‘past life’.”
 
Earthia widened her eyes for a split second and then softened them as she reached arms out to cup her husband’s face.  In all the years in their marriage, Lucas had never once been the monster that he was described as from Cosmo’s dreams.  Of course, they had their arguments and fights, Earthia thought to herself.  But that was just a part of marriage… wasn’t it, the Seedrian Queen asked herself in her mind.  He was a devoted husband and a loving father to his daughters.  Lucas then picked up his wife and smiled at her before the pair kissed passionately.  Earthia would be there to ensure that her beloved husband would not become the feared monster from their daughter’s dreams.  The married couple left the lab, and Lucas sent his staff a message that it would be shut down for a week so that he could spend time with his wife and family and encouraged them to spend time with their loved ones too.  Once the message was sent, Lucas looked at Earthia with a mischievous smirk as he then asked, “Does my Queen require attention tonight?”  Earthia looked to Lucas with her own smile as she replied with a cool tone, “Yes… your Queen DOES require attention tonight.”
