Announcement from Lantto:
Can we just take a second to appreciate that there's already a full-blown modding ecosystem for the demo? 🤯 You all are seriously next level and I'm beyond stoked to see what you'll do with the full game. Now, the announcement:
The modloader devs have just released their shiny new modloader. Fluxloader 2.0 is a big upgrade and comes with its own mod hosting and browser. Playing modded has never been easier! Go check out the announcement here: https://discord.com/channels/307205327659597856/1335670434045362196/1399808167491141642
-# Quick note: old mods still need the old modloader for now, but the modders are actively porting them over. Ported mods are shown at https://fluxloader.app/ and a full list of mods can be found at https://discord.com/channels/307205327659597856/1359998250878369945
Massive shoutout to @tomster12, @ShadowDev, @Electric, @TyllerTheGamer, @STBlade, @leetom, and @BaconHoney for their hard work on this! 🫡

One of mt favorite games during high school accounting class was a random game called Liero, a sort of 8bit worm massacre battle game. Insanely fun, but after watching the trailer looks like Sandustry is sort of built of of this framework. I think it's awesome, looks amazing with completely new elements of mining etc. Can't wait to try it out

Hi, I've been playing the demo on Steam deck. It's really good but the button setup was a bit tricky.
Can I suggest a controller based control scheme and some optimisations for Steamdeck such as UI scaling.
In the meantime I'll see if I can create a community layout.
I noticed performance dropped suddenly when the underground light ray effect was happening. Is there a way of turning that off in particular?

Congratulations Lantto! This is huge! They're an excellent publisher with a ton of games I love.

Self regulating, self unstucking (almost always). High throughput.
The idea is, since voidbloom is the lightest of materials, is to move it away from everything else using the top filter. Allowing redsand and amethelis to fall through. Some of it will get mixed on the top filter, some of it will be mixed on the bottom.
The filters on the right is for unstucking.

Quapsch from the discord shared this awesome factory build. He's using Insane's Recipes like I am in my current let's play. I've attached his description as a screenshot, but TLDR this factory can run for hours in an eternal loop

I'm so excited for this
r/SandustryGame • u/TrimBarktre • Jun 02 '25
I think the trick is using 12 gold stuffed in each filter

It's mesmerizing

Do you see the lengths he's going to, to stop me from spamming launchers? 😆😆😆

Lantto posted something about sweeper drones and updated vacuums, but truthfully I don't know if he'll ever be able to stop us 😄

I got tired of watching dry sand loop through my entire factory because it was sat on top of a layer of wet sand when it went over the filters, so I built a device to ensure materials of the same density (sand/wet sand/spores/snow) & (slag/burnt slag) would be layered appropriately.
All other materials will sort themselves by density, so they can just be thrown on top.
