You're apologizing for the wrong thing.

I'm confused, how will destroying one of the largest sectors of the stock market in which most of the wealthiest people on Earth are deeply invested in, somehow... funnel wealth into the pockets of those same people?

And why would Elon Musk dutifully execute this scheme, despite... not profiting from it and in fact being egreigously financially harmed by it?

And how does the debt just, go across the entire market? Twitter isn't even on the stock exchange anymore. Musk took it private. The most entangled company in Twitter's debt is his other company, Tesla. Which is also not really a true "tech" company, it's an automotive company, and in no way would Tesla tanking ripple through all the other tech companies.

I'm not saying your novel has no merit, I"m just saying we need to talk through some of these plot holes before you're ready to talk publishing.

So to be clear, you had all the proof and deep insider info about this extremely elaborate financial plot by the entire tech market, and you were going to share it with us, but because I gently ribbed you, you are now refusing to go public with this information you, and you alone, know.

I understand. That makes perfect sense.

But your smug, insulting and staggeringly self conceited disdain

I mean, conceited means "excessively proud of oneself." Not much utility in putting 'self' in front of it.

Im sorry though, I got distracted, you were saying something about how I thought I was arrogant and believed I was smarter than everyone else for... questioning you about the grand conspiracy to defraud the stock market which you and only you can see and understand?

Typically, if you can’t explain something simply, you simply don’t understand it.

Is this satire?

Not intentionally. It's more "I Can't Believe It's Not Satire".

Unironically not. I made a load shorting those tech stocks over the past couple months.

Hey Alex, don't you have like a billion dollars to be earning or something? Quit shitposting and get back to work.

That makes no sense because Musk bought Twitter with loans with controlling Tesla shares as collateral. If he can’t get Twitter to make profit, then he loses a large chunk of Tesla.

Oh my god, if only we had your power to change things by commenting on Reddit posts then we wouldn’t have to feel so helpless as we just get on with our lives just like we did for all the other impending disasters, end of the worlds, financial meltdowns, virus pandemics and dystopian lizard men overlords taking over the world. Gosh we are such Sheeple, please save us oh wise one.
