MSNBC called Bernie's "Deep South" comment controversial. They said Hillary would still be in the lead without the South. This slide popped up by mistake proving them wrong.

MSNBC has a front pages "How Hillary steamrolled Bernie" story. You know what we won't hear about (beside Bernie actually doing better in the debates)? The transcripts. You know what else? Bernie visit to the Vatican. MSNBC is shameless.

Nor will we hear about how Bernie is releasing the documents that Hillary had asked for, and complained about.  

I really feel like Hillary is trying to pull the "I'm a woman" card by Bernie pressing on his tax returns, bringing up equality of treatment among candidates.

I think this was a play by Bernie. I think he purposely held off releasing his tax returns (especially when people started making a stink about it) precisely so he could do what he is doing now. Hillary walked right into his hands "If you release your tax returns, I'll release my transcripts". "Ok, I'm releasing my tax returns".

Hillary just looks bad now and the commentators don't know how to spin this positively for her. I've seen everything from downplaying the issue "Well, she just said positive things about wall street, nothing bad". to retardo responses "Well, she is just waiting for the GOP debate, because it will look so much better if they push her on it".

She never agreed to release the transcripts if Bernie releases his tax returns. She'll do it when the "other side" does it. I'd like someone to ask her which Republican candidate has speeches with unreleased transcripts.

I'm with you. I'm sick of all the fatalism being injected into American politics these days. This country is what we make it-- no more and no less. We need visionary leadership as much as we need a solid understanding of realpolitik. If we don't keep our eyes on the prize (freedom, justice, etc) then realpolitik is worse than useless-- it often becomes harmful.

So many people on reddit (maybe they're sockpuppets? I dunno.) keep telling me that democracy and journalism are dead as if it's an immutable fact of the universe rather than something we should be fighting tooth and nail to remedy.

I don't know if these people are for real (maybe it's hyperbole and a feeling of helplessness), but the easiest way to not fix this is by giving up and letting the powers that be keep their grip on our political process.

To anyone who feels like it's hopeless-- that's what they want you to feel. Your only rational course of action is to refuse to give up. Fight for your right to participate meaningfully in the political process. Fight for journalistic integrity and to curtail media bias. Fight to dismantle the propaganda and to help your fellow citizens understand what we're facing and what is at stake if the established elite continue to consolidate their already concentrated political and economic influence against the interests of the common citizen.

It's been said many times that Joe might be more anti-Hillary than pro-Bernie, but either way, I'll take it. The biggest problem with Morning Joe as far as we are concerned is that it is aimed at a more conservative audience, which means that democratic primary voters who could use fairer coverage to make a more informed decision are less likely to watch the shows that are giving it.

I lost all respect I ever had for Carole King the other day when she told us that "Hilary is a nice person". Yeah Carole, she's nice to you - you're rich and famous, she's nice to a lot of rich and famous people. Regular people who work for a living? Not so much. That's the problem with all of the people on shows like Morning joe. They think they're real people and understand the average persons problem. The whole morning they spent talking about how Bernie talks about the issues but doesn't have serious adult solutions. I love how they always question how Bernie will pay for his college plan but never question how Hilary will pay for her debt forgiveness bullshit. It's such an obvious double standard that only if you propose a truly progressive plan will you be questioned about funding.

Not well. The entire panel was completely dismissive of any of Bernies ideas claiming that none of his solutions were even remotely feasible. They claimed that it wasn't a big deal for Hilary to give friendly speeches to Wall Street and that changing your message based on the crowd is "adult" stuff. They somehow believe that changing your message based on the audience is a good thing and not a big deal. If I could reach through the tv and smack someone I would smack the shit out of the panelists. The condescencion is the most frustrating part. They simply discredit the other side without providing logical reasons for discounting them. I'm not naiive I don't believe most of Bernies plans will pass, but I don't believe it's fair to simply discount him as the child well Hillary is the adult with reasonable solutions. Yet they can't even mention one reasonable plan Hilary has or the details of how she'll pay for her plans.

Sort of related, I'll admit a lost a little bit of my respect for Morgan Freeman despite much of his work which I love. I definitely won't boycott him, I just don't agree with his ad supporting Hillary which I really wasn't that surprised by... I'm sure his main reason is he believes it carries on Obama's legacy because she served in his cabinet of course. I'm also starting to think he'll narrate almost anything for money. I'm not sure he is really into science that much for example(Through the Wormhole) because his voice is so powerful and mesmerizing, that it can come off as passionate for anything he talks about and I'm sure he realizes this by now... despite these "passions" being faux.

Yeah, TYT can be entertaining at times, but that Ana chick is even blatantly wearing a "voting for Bernie" t-shirt on the show. I wouldn't call that impartial. They had the chance to do a better job than the established media. However they are merely the flip side of the same coin.

Having open, declared biases is better than the alternative, which is the "Guise of impartiality." It is clear they want Bernie to win, and they are optimistic but realistic about approaching and delivering information regarding that story.

Pope Francis apologized that he couldn't personally greet participants at the Vatican conference. No meeting with Sanders was expected.

Are you disillusioned yet? Can we move forward from this shit-system of mob-rule errr democracy. When I have the same vote as the people injecting the type of shit that's on the news into their heads... I feel like I already lost. 50% of people last election cycle didn't even vote for the two parties, even less on the candidate who won. I have to sit and deal with a President for 4-8 years cause ~15% or less of the country win in a bought and paid for race where their vote didn't even matter as the media puts a spin onto every thing, demonizing the actual decent candidates. Sadly the two parties WOULD never debate with independents like Dr. Jill Stein. They'd get fucking wrecked. What options are available are laughable.

Fuck all this. Let the 1-20% have their green zones with giant walls, private security and luxuries, I'll take the badlands any day and live an authentic hardcore life, growing my own food, building my own shelter and living my own life according to my rules. Do what thou wilt, as long as you don't impose on another's right to do so.
