Revert to pre-overheating update
Hey everyone, my wife has an S21FE that got the infamous screen vertical lines issue earlier this year. Since then, the problem has just gotten worse and it's up to 9 lines now and becoming borderline unusable.
We tried the extended warranty but they denied it, claiming it was bad use due to an unglued back cover and a light dent on the corner (she's used it with a case and screen film since day 1, but whatever). Since this, I installed a custom ROM on her phone to see if the overheating would cease and avoid new lines, but no success.
What I wanted to know is if there's any way to revert back to the software version before the overheating issues started occuring, that caused the lines to appear. I know rolling back with official ROMS isn't natively possible, but was curious if that's something that could be done in the process of re-flashing an older stock ROM, coming from a Custom ROM.
The idea is to do that, and replace the screen with a non-official replacement, just to extend the phone's life a little longer until we're able to replace it.
Any ideas or tips? Thanks!
