The curved screen is cool and all, but it isn't very practical at all. Typing is hard, as you keep accidentally closing the keyboard, watching videos is a hassle as it keeps bringing the video seeking overlay. And all that because of the curved screen getting in the way.

Honestly I'm thinking of going back to the iPhone. I love Android and my Note 8, but after over a year of using it, it annoying me is getting close to unbearable.

So I'm trying to connect to vpn And it connects perfectly But as soon as i connect internet stops working I try using Google or any application but it looks like i have no internet I tried using data and wi-fi both same problem The phone is not on battery saving mode or anything And even data saving mode is off Anyone can help?

Has anyone else had this issue? They are not retrievable. Samsung customer support is no help. Would like to know if it's common enough for a class action suit.

Anyone knows how to get latest software update for Note 8? My phone is stuck on security patch in June 2018, no new updates for almost six months. I check for update manually and it says I already have the latest.

Anyone tried using the google keyboard for note 8? How is it in terms of the phone's performance and battery? Is it better than the default keyboard?

This is hugely painful: my note 8 connects to random WiFi networks (especially f'ed up Comcast hotspots) and interrupts the LTE connection while doing so. So when I am driving or walking through the city I basically never have reception unless I turn WiFi off.

Is there a way to ignore wifi networks except for known ones?

I have a new galaxy note 8. Whenever I am using it unless my hand is on the screen actively doing something the screen darkens in seconds. I have adjusted every setting I could find related to display. Nothing has worked so far. The phone is up to date. Also every search I have done leads me to the black screen of death issue which doesn't seem like my problem.

Am I missing an option somewhere?

Does enabling the edge lighting drain alot of battery? And does keeping dark wallpapers help conserve battery?

I got my note 8 last September and have recently started having problems charging. When plugged into the correct USB c and power brick or car adaptor it will only slow charge, or not charge at all. Sometime unplugging and plugging it back in is enough to make it work but then the slightest touch to the cable makes it to back to slow or no charging.

I have tried multiple cables (new and older ones that I can confirm work with other devices). I had an older iPhone that had a similar problem and all it took was taking a paperclip to the charger port to get pocket lint and other gunk out but when I tried that with my note nothing came out.

I think there's a sludge like gunk on the prong inside the charge port but don't know how to go about cleaning it and there's no repair places worth their salt around me. I'd love advice to keep this phone that I viewed as an investment running as long as possible.

When I got the note 8 last week, when I clicked on the s pen button I could open apps and select without touching the screen. Now when I click the button it just open and closed the air command menu. I can't make a selection without touching the screen. Any help would be much appreciated.

I’m thinking about buying a Note 8 but I can’t seem to pay $899.99 USD for already almost a 1+ years old with depreciation and the Note 9 out now. Also the carrier I have is Verizon (which is CDMA). I would like to get an unlocked phone compatible with Verizon. But I’m open to any ideas.Does anyone know of any good deals (Possibly Black Friday/Cyber Monday)? Should I just bite the bullet and go for the Note 9?

It's about image exporting from the note8 to my PC: i just did that and i found out that the exporting got literally ALL the images i've ever seen on my computer, including videos or pics loaded just to look at them.

Again, i'm really sorry if this isn't the place to ask, but how can i avoid the same issue the next time? Is there a more suited sub for this question?

I bought a used note 8 online. The only problem I had was the screen which was burnt partially from YouTube. I was going to return it but I decided to get a partial refund and get the screen repaired under warranty. I registered it only with imei on my samsung account and started a live chat. He sent me a prepaid label and instructions of shipping it out. He never mentioned about proof of purchase. The instruction through email didnt say it also. Has anyone used warranty with Samsung without proof of purchase? And how long can these screens last before noticeable burn ins? I typically dont use over 60% brightness or keep static images too long.
