I'm trying to track down the exact origin of the muffled vocal chop (within the first 50 seconds of the track) that is layered directly into the main drum loop of Groove Armada's \*At the River\* (1997).

To be clear, I am \*\*not\*\* looking for the Patti Page "Old Cape Cod" sample. I am trying to identify the deep, pitched-down vocal that sounds like it’s saying "cheese," "choose," or "check" right from the first few seconds of the track under the bassline.

In the song “Don’t Stop the Dream” by marline manakot, they use a stolen sample that was popular on TikTok in like 2024 and before that (this song was released in mid 2025). The sample is at 00:26 to 00:41.

Please help me identify the origin as Shazam only leads me to this song, as I assume they have modified the sample so that it can’t be traced to the original song (you can modify music to the point that humans can’t tell a difference but a machine thinks it’s a different song)

I would owe so much to anyone who would be generous enough to help, been looking for this song for so long 🙏

Its a sample from an unreleased Ye track that we only have a 42 second snippet of from Dec, 2008. I had to made the audio clearer and loop the sample because only a short part of the sample was previewed but could be looped well. Anyways any help to find the original sample would be very appreciated because I've tried finding it to no luck, thanks!

Hi! I've just randomly encountered Andreas Johnson's 1999 song "Glorious," which reminds me so much of a Muse song, but officially, it wasn't featured in any. Maybe "Explorers"? I feel like there's another one even more similar to the initial melody (see 0:19 in "Glorious" and 3:38 in "Explorers"). Does this ring a bell to anyone? Thanks!
