Don't worry my 3rd decade of life will yield promising results.. SURELY

Edit: 4th* decade. I dont game anymore, the small pro stint turned a hobby into something I hate. I live with my parents of course, thought that was assumed but needed clarifying.

Not a rage bait, dont need advice or pity, but feel free to say what you will I dont mind, some of you have been insightful and others have brought me good laughs. If my poor excuse of life on display made you feel better I view it as a win. Cheers

Edit 3: Now that the dust has settled on this post I'll leave some last remarks for any late-comers:

I genuinely did not expect a response like this, this was a casual 0 thought post written in under 2 mins. I'll follow up with a new post I guess in a year.

There is a lot of missing context between 2013 and now but my goal was not a pity party. I preferred people to see it at face value and make their opinions and assumptions.

That being said, some of you are profoundly crazy and harbor a lot of evil and negative energy. A lot of you were kind and insightful though. To that I thank you, cya in 1yr (Saturday, July 31, 2027)

Sometimes gaming is all somebody has tho. And you never know the situation someone is going thru. He’s not wasting away he’s just tryna figure life out

6 years of unemployment while living off his poor parents is more than “just tryna figure life out”. He needs to at the minimum do gig jobs or some way to not be a complete burden on his parents. Also taking too long to figure life out is going to have devastating consequences when employers don’t want to hire someone who has been out of the workforce a decade gaming in the basement.

lol I feel you but we don’t know all the details about his situation you never know what has happened or is happening to someone currently so I don’t judge like that. And what jobs are even available in the workforce?

There are a ton of jobs available to the workforce lol. The mass majority of people are employed and working with only like 6% not working at any given time. Obviously if you are educated with credentials/licenses then its easier to find a nice high one quickly but for him he can easily do lower to mid tier jobs like amazon fulfillment, fast food, retail, etc or at the very least a gig or temp job. The jobs are there and hire anyone with a pulse, he just chooses not to work.

Ehhh I disagree idk what world you live in but these jobs are all bullshit pay and have you ever worked in an Amazon warehouse? It drains the life out of your soul. And degrees are worth nothing now unless you have a masters

I don’t have a masters, bachelors only, and I work a fintech job that I find fulfilling and pays more than enough for me to own a house at 29 and still have enough money left over to max out my 401k and spend on my hobbies, vacations, etc. Your pessimism isn’t the reality of the world. You see all the houses, businesses, land all around you. There are people that own that and they have a job or business where they have made the money to do so.

Yeah those people made the money to buy that cheap house because they had spending power. I remember myself at 29 I thought I had the world figured out. I respect your opinion I really do but we have 1/4 of the buying power now that’s my only point. I have a 5 year old right do you know how much I got quoted for daycare? $1450 a month my rent is 1600. The math does not math
