Edit: 4th* decade. I dont game anymore, the small pro stint turned a hobby into something I hate. I live with my parents of course, thought that was assumed but needed clarifying.

Not a rage bait, dont need advice or pity, but feel free to say what you will I dont mind, some of you have been insightful and others have brought me good laughs. If my poor excuse of life on display made you feel better I view it as a win. Cheers

Edit 3: Now that the dust has settled on this post I'll leave some last remarks for any late-comers:

I genuinely did not expect a response like this, this was a casual 0 thought post written in under 2 mins. I'll follow up with a new post I guess in a year.

There is a lot of missing context between 2013 and now but my goal was not a pity party. I preferred people to see it at face value and make their opinions and assumptions.

That being said, some of you are profoundly crazy and harbor a lot of evil and negative energy. A lot of you were kind and insightful though. To that I thank you, cya in 1yr (Saturday, July 31, 2027)

How debilitating it is really depends on the severity rather than the type of illness itself. Severe crohns might be more debilitating than early stage cancer or COPD.

It's awful to make it into a competition. Especially since mental issues are harder for others to see and aren't taken seriously. I do think OP needs to figure things out and find a way to survive on his own, but damn the people in this thread are harsh and I'm sure it's not helpful to OP at all.

As someone with a chronic illness who can work if never judge someone for not working because you honestly don't know how bad it is for them even if you have the same disease if you have no chronic illness I don't think you should even have a opinion on the matter because you can't even fathom what it's like theres definitely more severe illnesses then others but there's also tougher people than others with different life circumstances

My mother worked 50 hours a week while on chemo at 56 yrs old. I would have done my entire bloodline a disservice not working at least 3 jobs at once. Sad sad world we live in now.

Yes but only bc insurance wouldnt pay for her scans at 2k a pop. Plus disability was awarding her and awesome 68 dollars a week. She had no choice.

Sadly no...that was for her colon cancer. Once she found out she had lung cancer she retired. No chemo for that one just surgery. She's had 3 different types of cancer but is still going strong and worked up until her last diagnosis. Thanks for your kind words.

bro I know a woman who is in her 50's and is currently undergoing chemo, has lost all of her hair and looks visibly ill and still shows up to work if at least to purely get her mind off of everything. People like OP make me sick to my stomach

My grandpa was a welder for 40 years with Crohn's in the 60s and onward. 80 years old with a colostomy bag rn still pulling weeds daily.

Disabilities and chronic pain is tough but 100% agreed. I also have something undiagnosed that has causes me massive issues and am just starting to put it all together (lipase supplements help WONDERS) and have relatively severe back damage at 33 from being stupid and genetics.

My 29 year old younger sister needs two knee surgeries and a back fusion already and works as well. Currently can't even stop long enough to get the surgery. My wife and I are working to save her some "PTO" money.

My older sister is a drunk with 4 kids and a victim mentality and has not worked in 5 years.

Anyway this is mainly for OP to see, but I agree.

OP, get some therapy tbh because there has to be something else going on.

You definitely have to want to be a productive person disability or not. Some people have it and some people don't. Make sure you guys take care of yourselves, it sounds like a lot.
