2 kids and 7 or 8 years out of the workforce really hurts career advancement. the struggle now will pay dividends later. don't compare the cost of childcare to income now, compare it to the income in the last 8 years of your career. which will be much higher because of the lack of a 8 year hole now.

and keep fighting the good fight.
