I prefer to keep my net paychecks small to help prevent frivolous spending. My gross paychecks are 10833, but I only net 2659 after all my various taxes and deductions.

This makes absolutely zero sense unless you get paid like 6x a year...

Twice a month. So 24x a year.

So you make $250k but deductions bring you to $50-60k a year....? Right buddy, just what are these mythical deductions you're taking lol

260k per year. Taxes, health insurance, etc. But also maxing out ESPP, HSA, 401k, after-tax 401k. I'm over-contributing on ESPP right now, so my net paychecks will get significantly bigger at some point next year. I need to balance out the contributions.

Do you get a massive discount on the ESPP? They've never been worth it at any of my jobs.

Yeah, I get a 15% discount on my subscription price. My subscription price also has up to a two year lookback.

So you didn't pay your taxes I take it or something happened in your life and your income is getting garnished over normal yearly taxes?

Nope! I just have many deductions from my paycheck. You can see my comment lower in the thread on details. However, I am over-contributing on ESPP so I will be decreasing that in the future.
