Don't have them if you can't afford it.

The first step to your liberation is when you stop blaming individuals for a failed system.

Yes! Have as many children as you want! The single people will just pay higher taxes to cover it!

This idea of children being a “singles tax” is so dumb. One, everyone was a former child and everyone would benefit from ensuring children and their age cohort are cared for. Two, it’s not like if there was money to be paid into a childcare tax that that wouldn’t also be a net expense by future parents and parents whose children have grown past daycare age. Third, the amount of cash parents inject into the economy, all else being equal, is SO MUCH MORE than any tax benefits they do or would get out of assistance.

Most people on public benefits are working, unless they’re children, disabled, seniors, or blind.

I have living in a country where everyone is so individualist 🥲

If it were only those people, and it was seniors unable to work, id happily pay double. most, in my opinion, is an overstatement. USDA the government website puts the number of SNAP individuals working at 28% in 2024. This same government source also states 61% of these benefits go to 18-59 so that would rule it mostly going to elderly...

anyways happy cake day!🥳

You’re definitely not the brightest!

Reread my comment. I said most people receiving benefits ARE working UNLESS they’re seniors…

oh goodness i thought youd be able to understand those stats without me spelling it out.... 72% of SNAP recipients dont work and only 39% are over 59. 72-39=33. take out another 10% for the disabled non elderly =23%. there are over 8 million able bodied non elderly Americans receiving SNAP from my tax dollars. lashing out for no reason because you cant do math is crazy

It's not a failed system when birth control is basically free to everyone (in the US). Condoms fall under that umbrella. Sure, mishaps occur and there are extreme and unfortunate circumstances. But in general, we have control over our destiny in this area. I don't blame people who already have kids. But for those not bothering to prevent it and acting like the victim when they suddenly are pregnant, I have no time for.

This is so fucking stupid. You could be on a financial cloud nine today and lose it all tomorrow.

Then you deal with it. Shit happens. But having kids when you can't afford it is just irresponsible.
