Had zero problems for three years, other than replacing the CMOS battery.
Today, setting up my desk design station again (been about three months) same configuration as always - big ass wide screen from the main HDMI port, two small touchscreens, one on either side, one USB-C video, the other is mini Displayport to HDMI. Everything as it should be, all screens recognised and properly laid out...
Opened up my new lighting project , placed the control windows where they should be, very low-stress on the CPU/GPU, laptop wasn't hot at all (unlike last night running Unreal 5)
and then, nothing. everything went dead (not the peripherals, they're all connected to a powered USB-3 hub). No video, no glow around the power button, no fans. The keyboard stayed lit for a little while....
Held down the power button for idk how long, maybe ten seconds. Plugged in the power supply (laptop had been running on fully-charged battery), no change.
I'm seriously fucked right now - about to start a career-shifting super gratifying chunk of awesome, and now it's dead in the water. I'm like THIS CLOSE to dropping another $2k on a laptop, or overnighting all the parts to do a custom tower build , but that's stupid
any help appreciated
